So Project One 7 is actually the new Pure Strike? If it plays anything like the old Strike, count me out. I was really looking forward to this new racquet but now I'm disappointed.
nostra and his squad are gonna have to go back to their XL yonexes if manufacturers keep on disappointing him ...Everyone but you?

Theres a slight mold and drill pattern change. It's a great feeling racket. I wouldn't count it out until you've actually tried it.

In comparison to the previous Pure Strike. The P17 is stiffer and feels more solid. Also has a more plush/muted feel. Great at hitting slapshot forehands.
@haqqani1777,
The Project One 7 racquets were all the new Pure Strike 16x19. They were all the same racquet.
Thanks,

The Project One 7 played differently than a Pure Strike. I will be interested to see if Babolat makes a Tour version of this new Strike. Has anyone seen the new Pure Controls?
Babolat Official has confirmed in another thread that the Strike VS is the update of the Controls and is the same mold.It looks like the new Pure control is the Pure Strike VS. Not sure on the mold though but they do have the typical 16x20 string pattern
£170 - £190Any price info yet?
Any price info yet?
Rev Ryan,
Yes, pre-sale is tentatively set for September 1st. Prices will be $199 for the 16x19 and 100 and $189 for the 100 Team.
Thanks,
Brittany
You Americans are so lucky with racket prices, the rest of us always pay a lot more.......@TW Staff pointed out that the PS 16x19 and PS 100 will be $199.00 - I don't remember for the team version. I think it was $189.
Edit:
Here is the original post:
I'm wondering when that bag comes out...
So, no x-sider at 18x20 any more? For moderate spin/flat baseline bashing the frame was really good, I'm curious what have they changed, and why?.. Haven't said a word in english in years, but have been reading this forum for educational purposes for a long time, hello from the mother of all evil - Russia ))
why thiem looking very mad
@Babolat Official, will the Pure Stike VS Tour also be available in September, or will you be staggering the release like with the original Pure Strike? Thanks in advance!
@Babolat Official Will there be a 95 racquet in the future?
Also interested to try the VS tour. 16x20 vs 18x20. Wondering the difference.
Also would love to hear more about the FSI tech? what is that? string spacing?
same mold??
Just because it's called Pure Strike it doesn't mean it plays like the old one, does it?
No autograph? No letter? No $250 price tag. Totally disappointed.

Hi @Babolat Official. Would you mind clearing up some confusion? So the Pure Strike VS Tour replaces the Pure Conntrol Tour? Was this the Pure Stikr Cntrl you previously mentioned, or is that another frame in the works? Will there still be a Pure Aero VS Tour & if so, is that supposed to be the new itiration of the Aero Storm Tour GT? Sorry for all of the questions, but trying to understand the new line-ups. Thanks again for your help!
Theim is the opposite of wild but it's nice to see a white racquet. I'm over the whole black racquet thing.
Was this the outcome of project X/7/8 ?
Not sure if he uses the prior version or this one.Which version does Thiem actually plays with?
I believe it is the 18x20. Does he still play with a stock frame with modified (Head) grip?

The VS Tour will be a staggered release. Only the 16x19, 100, & Team will be out in September.
At this time, there are no plans for it.
VS & VS Tour are updates to the Control line. Same mold as the previous. The 18x20 is the Strike 18x20 update. Different mold than the VS lines.
FSI stands for "Frame String Interaction". The FSI Power is a wider spacing in the cross strings to provide more power to the new Pure Strike. Expect a bit more pop than the previous version with this frame.
It's an updated mold from 2014. No X-sider, and increased beam width in the throat and at 3/9/12 o'clock to increase stability.
Both rackets are meant for attacking players, but the updated Pure Strike provides much more stability and power. It plays very smooth.
I'll note your feedback to the team
You are correct. Same mold.
Yes, we had a name change from the Pure Strike CTRL to the Pure Strike VS. The Strike VS/VS Tour is the update to the Pure Control/Control Tour. Same mold as the previous Pure Control.
There is a Pure Aero VS Tour coming this fall. It is the AeroStorm Tour update in the modern family. The Pure Aero VS is the Aerostorm update.
Yes, the Pure Strike is the final outcome and commercial release of Project One 7. The Pure Strike 16x19 is the same as the Project One7. There are other rackets in the family as well, including 100, Team, and 18x20, VS, & VS Tour later on.
February 2017@Babolat Official thank you for clearing up my confusion. That makes sense. I know you said the Pure Strike VS Tour release was going to be staggered, but any approximate estimate on when that might be?
Thanks again!
Ugh! I hate to wait, but I understand. Thanks for the answer @JAY1
