The one thing that can defeat Djokovic - and has occasionally in the past - is over-confidence. Any player can have a bad day too. After all these years watching tennis I know for certain that nothing is certain! :)

Djokovic is still the favorite. Wish he would lose but the guy’s so mentally tough.

How sad is it when Federer worshippers like this guy/gal urge on Nadal's opponents every match :-D:D

SUGITA JUST BROKE HIM FIRST GAME OMG U GOT THIS SUGY BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyways, happy that Rafa finally figured out NK in TBs. Onto the next, vamos!

5 to 2 in TB now, still in favor of the Australian.

Yes, hence why I was enjoying the match between these two. Both playing mind games.

The issue is that one of the guys gets (deserved) flak and reputation for playing mind games while the other is known as the humble fisherman and champion of the working class because he speaks broken English and occasionally praised Fed in the press.

Kyrgios is a major tool, there's no denying that even for people who like the guy but Nadal gets away with his gamesmanship without almost any criticism (internet boards notwithstanding).

To use another example, no one ever thought Hewitt was ***** "humble".

tbqh i'll always stick up for nadal when people make fun of his english, idt its that big of a deal or a mark of intelligence, idk if fed benefited because of his mom or not with his english idk some countries pick it up more than other, than you have people who are forced to learn to due to being colonized...wont go down that road. honestly the nadal camp are smart, idek if it was always planned this way but marketing nadal as the exact antithesis of fed worked wonders. fed being an example of the classy elite with the way he dressed, his hair etc vs nadal who came out in his pirate shorts and tank. i wonder what the nadal camp would have done if fed never cut his hair lmao.

honestly these days i feel like fed praises nadal more. meanwhile nadal goes on about the seedings being unfair and calling quick tennis more less tennis that requires no thinking

I don't want him to reach the final if he can't win it. Enough with the losses in late stages in slams.

You are jumping the gun. Nadal has Tsonga, Querrey and Fed at the very least. He could lose to everyone of them especially to Fed. So in all likelihood , he is NOT getting to the final.

Rafa is no longer afraid of Roger, not even on grass. The only player he fears is Novak. (He respects other players and knows that matches will be tough, I am talking about mental fear of a particular opponent only). My hope is that he has worked through it in time for the final if they both make it that far! He needs to remember how close it was last year and go out there to win!

Of course he can lose on any given day but I am feeling good about his chances of making it to the final! :)

That’s exactly what the VB does to Federer every match. How insecure do you have to be to have this reaction every time someone goes for Nadal’s opponent?

It’s pathetic man. Can’t believe so many people liked your comment either.

You don't want a Federer Djokovic match?

A Federer v Djokovic match would be great also. It is about 95% certain we are getting one of Federer or Nadal in the final now. Djokovic has a strong chance to make it there also.

Fedal semi followed up by Fedovic or Djokodal final.

if Roger Federer wins against Rafa, he wouldn't have got anything left in him to go for a war with Novak Djokovic. This is not even Roger of 2017. The match against Stan at RG 2019, even though Roger got a luxury of one hour breather in the middle of the match due to rain, makes me believe that Roger can go for a war for a full match once. But Roger will not go back to back wars against these two ATGs...

PS: just to avoid someone else misquoting me, I don't intend to say that a fresh as a daisy Roger will be a favorite against Novak

That's the whole point. It doesn't matter whether Fed is fresh or exhausted. Whether he plays Nadal or not. Or whether he faces an easy opponent in the Semi-final.
In every single case Fed will be the heavy underdog vs Novak in the final. Heck, the match won't even be as close as their prior encounters in Wimbledon. The only way for Fed to even win sets would be if he has a career best serving day. And even then he won't win the match likely. What do you expect? Fed is closing 38 and Novak is in his peak/prime and very very hungry.

Also the earlier part would be true if you replaced Fed with Nadal. Either of these would be likely thrashed by Djokovic. He is just better.

That is one way to look at it. :)

What is with the Djokovic fans today. How under your skin must Nick be?

Some of these posts just seem really salty.
I am a Greek-Aussie. Am a fan of Kyrgios, and want him to reach his maximum potential. But I call a spade, a spade. Nick is a try hard.

High humidity closed roof makes Roger the favourite. Odds?

Not so sure there. Fed is looking old and upset prone, and Nadal still has to beat Tsonga and probably Querrey, which are pretty much the exact kind of players that give him grass trouble.

I think that part was a product of happenstance. Then Nike and the sports press latched onto that idea and took it to the races.

Nadal was a big Moya fanboy, and that's where the looks come from. As for his attitude, it is very much that of the typical Spanish footballer - no surprise considering his uncle Miguel Angel played in La Liga for a lifetime.

Well, not fearing Fed at Wimbledon is almost as silly as not fearing Rafa at RG. That said Novak is very dangerous everywhere.
