jeukovic really carved out this win in the mid-length rallies. Big differential.

nuthing between them in the short and long rallies.

It's hard to tell if Djokovic just doesn't try as hard in bo3, or whether he's just quite a bit worse at the format. Much of his edge these days seems to come from his unlimited stamina and that's not that important in bo3.

Bagel 2nd set leans towards him pacing himself. He was also up a break and MP in the 3rd before tiebreak. He's certainly lost some Bo3 because of reserving himself.

Not so much his stamina as his tendency to go on a massive walkabout in the middle of matches. It just doesn't matter as much in Bo5 where you have more time to regroup and make a series of pushes at the right times.

Pretty sure this happens quite often that mid length rallies get more lopsided than the really long ones.

right

but quite often the winner gets an advantage in the short rallies, since they predominate. But here Hurkie led by a couple of points there.

not that unusual of course.

I simply despise Djokovic ): So disappointed ): I hate it when this happens. ): So close! Almost slayed that horrible thing. ): Now I won't watch the final ):
Pray I don't have the misfortune of stumbling upon somebody as psychotic as you in the real world. Please get help, your behaviour on these boards is genuinely scary.

Djokovic moves even further away from Fedal in the GOAT race, but will probably lose to Zverev tommorow (as funny as that sounds).

I feel bad for Hurkacz! This is the 3rd time in 3 Masters he looks like the better player but loses in decisive tie-breaks. Medvedev in Toronto, Dimitrov in IW, now Djokovic in Paris.

What a match it was. Now that YE-#1 is definitely in the pocket, this almost miraculous win could give Djokovic extra confidence for tomorrow and the upcoming Tour Finals.

I wonder; who does he prefer for tomorrow?! I think Zverev, but I could be wrong.

Hurbot definitely didn't look like the better player today lmao.

Just want to get one tiny thing off my chest - these courts are so painfully slow.

The most stunning train ride reaches yet another station. Chooo choooo!

The first five games of the third set were some of the best tennis I have seen in last couple months. The baseline to baseline rallies were amazing and Novak's mindset with those pace dictating corner to corner hits was just extraordinary.

Hubi did great coming back in the third set but should've put more pressure on the net so that Novak doesn't take advantage of the baseline to baseline rallies.

In the end, it was a two ball match in the 7:5 tiebreaker.
