Med has an easier road. I'd give FAA a slight chance but he will be in trouble. Djovak most probably goes up against Berrettini and Zverev. I wouldn't say that is certain victories. Berrettini hasn't lost a slam match this year against non-Djovak opponent. Zverev is on a 13 match winning streak, arguably form of his life. Both have games to cause an upset on this faster HC. I'm worried for Novak. He hasn't looked convincing.

True. But Berrettinni hasn't been that hot this tournament. He is barely scraping through his matches. He might even lose to Otte.
We'll see how things prevail. I'm not convinced by Zed's 13 match streak. It's BO3 and he was already down 1 set to Novak in OG before Novak got tired. Then again vs Titsp in Cincy he was almost about to lose.
I think the danger for Novak will always be Medvedev. Sure Med didn't get a set in AO 2021 - but if he can get to his Fall 2019 Form, he could be a threat to even Novak.

You are being pretty generous to Zverev. Given you see his record in best of 5 matches. And his slam record this year in AO/FO and Wimbledon. He's been pathetic in slams.
People forget the BIG DIFFERENCE between slams and BO3.

Who do do you think is gonna take out Zverev, out of curiosity? Only remaining possibilities are Sinner, Opelka and Harris.
Sinner needed 4 sets against Purcell, 4 against Svadja, 5 against Monfils. He was up 4-0 in the 4th set and lost 6-4. If he isn't more consistent than this, it will be a beatdown.
Harris just lost to Zverev in straight sets in Cincinnati.
And Zverev usually handles big servers very well. Opelka lost his serve 3 times against Basil, and Zverev returns much better than him.
Djokovic is only favorite by a tiny thread (52-48) if this match happens for me. And still, that's only if Djokovic handles Brooksby and Berrettini well. If he keeps donating sets in every matches, I will put Zverev favorite.

For the other Semi I prefer Tiafoe but Auger-Aliassime is more likely to trouble Med than Alcaraz and Tiafoe. That's why I am rooting for FAA here, I think he can push Medvedev to 4. The other 2 would be grinded, I still remember Medvedev-Tiafoe last year, 64 61 60. Last thing I want to see.

Good post. You are just basing everything on numbers and recent matches.
You completely ignore the intangibles. Just see what Zverev has done at slam level ALL this year. He has lost pathetically in AO/FO/Wimb in matches that he should have WON.
It's called recency bias. Don't extrapolate BO3 matches to slams. It's a different ball game. There is no universe in which Novak vs Zverev will be 52-48. Zed has NEVER beaten Novak at slam level and he has NEVER won a slam.

FAA is not doing much on Tiafoe’s serve since breaking early in the set. He’s just taking care of his service games and letting Tiafoe spray errors.

Sometimes he doesn’t even try.

(I like Tiafoe, and studied at U of Maryland College Park at the time that he started playing there as a kid. I want him to succeed, but his 4th set wasn’t good. )

Nice guys in the match. Someone had to lose. I feel Felix has more upside, so I'm glad he won. Interesting quarterfinals in this half of the draw. FAA, Alcaraz, Dutch guy I've never heard of, and Medvedev. I'm picking Medvedev to come through, but it'd be pretty amazing if Felix came through and actually won a final. ;-)
