Felix hit 24 aces. Crazy.
Hopefully.Almost certain to reach SF. Should be able to handle Alcatraz easily. It's one of the easiest QF

Haha. It's like not being able to escape.Ok, that made me laugh.
Tsitsi hit 27 against Mannarino. Why he can’t always serve like that is beyond me.Felix hit 24 aces. Crazy.
Holy cow, Chris Fowler is a terrible commentator.
I was referring more to the time where he stood almost over at the center hash line (though also very far back) after getting aced the previous time he was on the ad side. But yes, he’s not as good as them from that far back.it works well for Rafa and Medvedev but it not so well for Tiafoe. not sure why
No but every time I listen to Ted Robinson, I forget about how bad Chris Fowler is for a few minutesI hope you’re not just figuring that out now.
FAA is, at times, playing defense and inviting Tiafoe to hit harder, and is drawing errors. Well done Toni.
Should uncle toni take all the credit ??
The commentators addressed this. If he's camping back there for the return, they were saying he needs to make bigger returns down the middle.it works well for Rafa and Medvedev but it not so well for Tiafoe. not sure why
Any person who can handle Alcatraz easily, deserves all my admiration.Almost certain to reach SF. Should be able to handle Alcatraz easily. It's one of the easiest QF
Well done Sir. Touche!Any person who can handle Alcatraz easily, deserves all my admiration.
You just figured that out? He lost his hair early, in his late 20's, so he shaved his head. Even here, these were extensions.Wow, James Blake is a handsome man . . . I prefer him with hair though . . . is he bald on purpose?

People giving so much credit to Toni. They might be right, but they might be giving him too much credit.
He may or may not have made a difference. We'll never know.
Toni has nothing to lose. He coached an amazing player in Nadal. Perhaps Nadal may have been equally great, no matter who coached him. But if Felix fails, then it is Felix's problem. If he wins then it is because of Toni. A no lose situation for Toni. He's barely been around.
We all uncle toni was just a bag carrier for Rafa...
Felix did well at the end of this match. If he can get over his mental blocks, he’ll start winning tournaments regularly. Once he gets a couple under his belt, he will become much more confident. It bothers me that people jump to the conclusion that Toni helped, just because Felix won. We just don't know. I didn't see any material change in FAA's game.
I think Felix would benefit most from a coach who can deal with psychology. That is FAA's weakness. He's a very bright person and he over-analyzes things. He can't just let loose.
Just a random tennis fan's opinion. (Not presupposing any special knowledge.)

What is that woman doing on top of the spire of the Burj Khalifa?
They need to bring Genie on board. She was pretty good when she was on Tennis Channel a couple weeks ago.No but every time I listen to Ted Robinson, I forget about how bad Chris Fowler is for a few minutes
Who is Genie? Do you mean Eugenie "Don't shake my hand" Bouchard? They need to bring Genie on board. She was pretty good when she was on Tennis Channel a couple weeks ago.
It's shockingly a real stunt:

Few people have stood at the top of the Burj Khalifa, in the United Arab Emirates, including Tom Cruise and the Crown Prince of Dubai.www.newsweek.com
As for the match, I thought Tiafoe played well and the crowd was great. But surprising (to me), FAA served huge and was pretty clutch under pressure. It was one of the better matches I've seen him play and it showed some of his growing maturity. The FAA vs Alcaraz matchup is exciting to see. If Alcaraz hadn't been through back to back 5 setters, I'd say he was the favorite, but it's more of a tossup right now for me.
I did see change. He played smart tennis, for the most part. I disagreed with fewer of his choices in this match than was typical of the past. He wasn't just getting himself into trouble by taking risks and then trying to bail himself out by overhitting. If Toni isn't helping he doesn't need to be kept around. It bothers me that people jump to the conclusion that Toni helped, just because Felix won. We just don't know. I didn't see any material change in FAA's game.

In my opinion, "annoying" is putting it too mildly and kindly...I hope that Tiafoe is gracious whenever he eventually loses. All those over the top celebrations are becoming a bit annoying imo.
