She arrived today!
Came in at 319g, but I haven’t measured the SW or balance yet (gotta look that up real quick like lol).
Perfect condition, although I’ll be replacing the original grip, as time has roughed it up a little bit.
It’s raining today :( so I’ll just be dropping my new PSTGT and Ltd GT off at the stringer

Why in the hell won’t gifs work on the phone :(

And why in the world would you trade a rare XL player’s frame for a generic player’s frame :( :( :(

lol..you make an extended length sound like some exotic find :D Many people do not enjoy an extended length so it’s really not that exotic for them :D

Dropped my old new PSTGT off to get strung with Volkl Cyclone 16 @ 48 lbs, picking it up Thursday and if I can somehow manage to change shifts with someone, play my first real match in 5 years on Saturday!
(Usage of said Pure Storm Tour GT may or may not happen for the match, unless I immediately have an er... I mean gel with it quickly) :D

Just bought two more Pure Control 95's, so I will have 4 total. I think that should last me a while. Absolutely love these racquets. Very happy with how they play with plain old syngut. Time to start selling most of my other racquets I suppose...

Currently have 3 PCT, 1 PCT+ and 2 PST. When I see them at the right price, I plan to buy at least three more PCT over the next couple of months. The PST are great for Kevlar/poly hybreds if you up the static weight to 13.5 oz or more.

Are yours the regular or GT version of the PST?

Neither, mine are irregular. I increased the static weight to 13.5 oz by adding 1.7 oz to the handle and .8 oz of weight at 3 & 6 in the hoop.

I’m not exactly sure what increasing the weight of them has to do with it being either the regular Pure Storm Tour, or the Pure Storm Tour GT.
What color is yours?

Weight and balance makes all the difference in the world on how the sticks play. My PS are Tours, not the GT model.

A few months ago, in a rare moment of rage (lost a tense match to a guy I really wanted to beat), I slammed my precious pure storm and cracked the frame in a couple places :(

I've been on a hunt for another racket from the family for a while but couldn't find anything at a good price. I just finally found a used PC 95 in B condition for $79 on TW, and promptly purchased it

Is Pure Control Tour the best iteration in this line?

Really depends on what kind of feel you like. I found the PSTGT to be too muted. The PCT is cleaner in feel and swings lighter off the shelf. With that said, you really cant go wrong with either stick

I really dont understand it too!
The plus version of the pure control team is indeed a rare gem, which has more power and more stability than the regular frame. The white and red Storm interation is believed to be worse than pure control, so take you pick.

Had my Swirlys custom painted black and with initials in throat. Absolute beasts. They play crisper and are stiffer than my Pure Storms Tours. But feedback is not brassy/tinny sort you would expect from a Babolat.

I am not a fan of the last generation of Pure Control Tours. Not enough swingweight and the feedback is that typical hollow/tinny Babolat-like for me. The Pure Storms Tours and earlier generation Pure Control Tours were amazing racquets by Babolat. They annihilate the ball by comparison, have a substantial feel and hit a heavier ball for me.

Personally, I would skip the last generation of Pure Controls altogether and look for Storms if you want a softer playing stick or earlier Pure Controls if you want a stiffer and crisper playing stick (latter being harder to find in good condition). But as with everything else, it is all pretty subjective.

Hm yes I suppose I can take another of those Storms off your hands since you asked so nicely ;)
In all honesty though, I found new old stock on the bay, although it’s the other PJ that you send me via PM. Might just be ordering it!

lol - I believe @topspn has a few of those NOS from the bay. Very nice. Same stick just a different PJ. Definitely recommend.

P.S: did we have a PM exchange? I just checked and didn't see any. Are you sure it was me? :)

Indeed, I do all the way from Germany. I am not selling those and will keep them in my collection. He might be confusing the two of us. I sold a PSTGT to @Sintherius in your PJ a while back ;)

I used to hit with the Pure Control Team 97 / 98 (12 oz strung) in my younger days, and lately I have been hitting with a six.one 95, but wishing it were larger.

I am curious, how do the stiffer PC and PC+ models compare to the six.one? Some of the models have very similar specs on paper (ex. 2003 version)

If I could keep most of the feel / precision / spin of my old PC but add a little juice to my shot, that would be close to a perfect racket for me.

Also, what about those aeropro control / storm editions?

Thanks guys!

I did mean to refer to the older black with red tip control team of 320gr. I played too with the swirly version which i find solid too. Besides i like the swirly paintjob too. Why go tru all the troubles of repainting?

I had mine custom painted because I like all matt black better. And yes, very solid. Much more solid than last gen PCT.

You mean 2014 pure control tour as well ?

Yes, not a fan of 2014 Pure Control Tour. I had two of those which I got rid of. Compared to Pure Storm Tour GT and Pure Controls before the Pure Storms, the last generation Pure Controls (2014) swing much lighter, and have terrible feedback/feel - at least for me.

Also, unless you add weight, they hit a very weak ball and not as stable. Flutter like crazy if you hit with decent college level players. None of those issues with previous generation PST or PCT.

You can off course rectify that by adding weight but then there is the feel/feedback. Might suit some but just not worth the hassle for me.

Here's a Pure Storm GT Tour that was custom painted with matte black and gloss babolat "aero" logos. Pretty sweet frame! Actually looking to move it along if there is any interest in the frame. Enjoy!

Pretty sweet looking frame. Why the 'aero' graphics though? The Aerostorms are different racquet altogether.

Hello, I have three brand new Babolat Pure Storm Tour Plus GT rackets if someone would like to have them. I love them so much, but due to injury I cannot play with them anymore. They still have the protection foil on the grip. I have a fourth racket, the same model, which was played with only one time for 1 hour. There is no sign of use on this racket.

Me likey this stick. Designed for more lead, if you bump it up to 340SW with mostly lead at 12 and its very low twistweight it becomes a spin machine especially for an 18x20. Bought three already, two bumblebees and one GT.

I would do without the aero decals personally but man that looks pretty sick. Did you do that yourself?

You must be confusing the PSTGT with something else. This frame was a 16x20, a high TW and could wallop the yellow off a ball in stock form.

Seems it took me nearly 65 yrs to find the right racket but now that I have a Pure Storm 95 LTD GT+ and a pair of Pure Control 95 Plus rackets my other 60+ rackets aren't quite so much fun. I even stuck an XTP buttcap on a Prince Mono today to see if it can swing with the Babs. So far the closest thing I have come up with to compare to the Babs is a Spalding ATP Pro Line 230, 95", 27.5" 18x20, 20mm straight beam but it plays a bit "brassy" compared to the 19mm Babs.

No I'm not. I'm referring to the very first black and yellow racket in the original post but you must be confused about what sentence refers to what.
Hint: If the first sentence refered to the racket in the quote, why would it be before the quote?
