Best overgrip for sweaty hand other than tourna?

So I've experimented with a few overgrips trying to find one that suits my preference. I have very sweaty hands, but I also want a grip that will be playable and not just absorb sweat. So far I have tried Yonex Super grap, Wilson Pro, Gamma Supreme, and tournagrip. Here are my experiences.

Gamma Supreme- Didn't last long. Didn't like it. After like 10 minutes my hands became too sweaty to use this overgrip and the overall tackiness wore off on mine after like 2-3 hitting sessions.

Wilson Pro- I like this overgrip. It gave good tackiness for a decent amount of time and it handled small amounts of sweat pretty well, but I live in Florida, so when I sweat, I SWEAT A LOT. Just didn't hold tackiness well enough for how much I sweat

TournaGrip- Obviously the BEST for sweaty hands, however I found it somewhat uncomfortable, and I felt a disconnect between me and the ball. I like it, but I don't play as well with it.

Yonex Supergrap- Probably my favorite of the bunch. Plays like Wilson Pro, but it absorbs sweat a little bit better imo. Also I feel like it had the best playability. HOWEVER, one time I left the overgrip on for like over a month. It lost all its tackiness, and I was too lazy to order some more and change it at the time. I was playing once, and I went for a low slice. I LAUNCHED the racquet out of my hand and into the air. It flew across the court and hit a light pole DEAD CENTER ON THE FRAME. I freaked out and found my racquet completely fine but with only one little scuff. Honestly, I expected the frame to just crack in half. Even though there was no damage to my frame, it still scared me, and I haven't gone back to supergrap since.

I want to know if I should switch to some other overgrip, or if I should just give supergrap another chance, and just change it out more often.

You should try Dunlop Viper Dry. I also live in Florida, and I sweat moderately. Wilson Pro and Supergrap feel nice, but they get slippery in the summer, especially Wilson Pro. Tourna is the one that absorbs the most, but I also lose feel with it. Viper Dry feels like a thicker Supergrap type of grip, but it's still thin enough that I don't get blisters (unlike Prince ResiPro which is too thick and gives me blisters).

I've actually come to like Viper Dry better than Tourna in the summer. I do have to use Prince Grip Enhancer and a towel and wristbands when it's really humid. Tourna and Viper Dry deal with sweat differently. Tourna absorbs while Viper Dry stays dry. Tourna has the higher capacity to handle lots of sweat and it doesn't lose as much grip as other grips when it gets wet, but after a match it's soaking wet, and when you remove it, the base grip is wet too. This doesn't happen with Viper Dry, but you do have to maintain the dryness with a towel so it doesn't slip.

It's hard for me to believe the Dunlop Viper Dry OG absorb anything because I did an experiment by putting a droplet of water on it. It stays on there forever! Tourna Tac and Dunlop Hydramax was the best, the droplet of water disappeared as I was starring at it withing seconds.

I used to have sweaty hands and the only OG I prefer were the tourna tac and dunlop hydramax. Dunlop osmo-dry was okay, it didn't absorb a droplet of water as fast as the tourna tac and hydramax but I think for some people it can be exceptional. Now I got rid of my sweaty hands naturally and I am able to use the Viper Dry. I love that OG! I wished they have more than B/W color.

From reading reviews it seems like the Viper Dry and Osmo-dry are what I am looking for. I'll give them a shot. I would try tourna-tac, but I've heard that it just becomes soaked and kinda gross. Thanks guys.

Overgrips need to be changed frequently, especially in the summer. All of them will loose tackyness over time. I have tried a lot of overgrips and Yonex is by far my favorite. I change my overgrip for every match in the summer and every other match in the cooler months.

+1 on the yonex supergrabs.

I have viper dry and osmo dry Overgrips on order. I am curious to see how they compare.

It's not supergrabs fault that you did not change it for a month. I assume if your racquet had broken in half that you would have blamed Yonex and not yourself.

I have two suggestions: you can get Botox injections for your hands or lose weight. Also I'm sure some people appreciate your review but we could all care less which over grip you switch to, we don't need to be informed.

One of my friends is extremely sweaty in the hands and has tried a lot of options.

He concluded that reversed yonex super grap or any other not so thin was the most effective. He also switches racquets between games.

Geeeeez. Take a chill pill. Who ever said that it was the grip's fault. If I implied that it was, I wouldn't have even mentioned that I had it on for a month. I also said I was being lazy. And the whole point of a forum is to have a community of people so I'M SORRY FOR SHARING MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCES MR PERFECT!

Hmmmmm, I should lose weight. Low blow, man. Low blow.

He post was not only rude, but irrelevant too given that plenty of fit people sweat a ton too, as I well know.

+1 for Viper Dry.

Ive tried most overgrips and this one seems to do the job in hot weather. It has a rubbery feel that stays dry and gives a good amount of traction. My racket never felt like it was going to slip. Its not an absorbant grip that soaks up moisture, it tends to deflect it so that just a quick wipe with a towel and its dry and has plenty of grip and traction.

I struggled with sweaty hands and slippery grips for a few months before realising that it's actually my sweat travelling down from my elbow that wet the grip

A wristband solved that problem immediately :)

Are you wearing one?

I have always hated wearing wristbands. Just thinking they were tacky looking or alien feeling to my arm. However, I too struggle with OP's problem. I used Tournagrip and Wilson Pro. I ALSO felt a disconnection with tournagrip, preferring the Wilson Pro white overgrip.

Since I have tried on a wristband and played a match with it, there is not a day goes by on court I don't wear one. I can honestly say they fixed my sweaty hands. Just be sure to switch bands whenever you start to sweat one out.

I'd love to know what grip he chooses
I'm very fit yet I sweat profusely. Even in the winter when summer heat is not a factor my body just tends to stay hot and I sweat a lot.
I use tourna right now and it soaks the sweat off my hands it's pretty great
But I've never tried any other grips before... I'd like to get an idea of what grips to look at
Do undergrips do anything for sweaty hands?

What size wristbands do you use. Single wide or double wide? It matters because I'm thinking of investing in some.

I use the single wide. Even when it's soaked after an hour, it doesn't drip and still prevents sweat from getting to my palms and the grip. I've read somewhere on this forum to avoid the Nike wristbands as they lose elasticity very fast.

The double wide is good if you wish to use it as a towel to wipe the face as well. The downside is, it takes a very long time to dry after washing.

I am no overgrip expert, I have sweatting palms problem only if over 30 C temperatures. just recently I bought tecnifibre 0,5 mm white overgrip - it is called "player's" I think. I bought it due size of my handle - no room for thicker one.. Thinniest possible. And as side effect I found it very tacky and working well in hot weather.

I used to use these myself, however had an indoor experience and was drenched and the grip didnt hold up too well. I find tournagrips to be the best for this , but their overall durability isnt great

No Nike? Too bad. I'm a Nike fanboy :)

Supergrap is NOT a Tourna alternative (Tourna TAC, yes)

The grey Solinco is a good product, but it's a bit thick
MSV Prespi-sorb

The new Babolat with the "silk" powder

Wilson advantage (black only...) is a great grip

My routine:

Baby powder->Tight Grip lotion-> beeswax tacky towel->fresh Tourna XL
