It's a good racket. Great even, if you compare it to similar rackets in its class (Pure Drive etc.). Offers very good control once you get used to it and provides more feel and touch than a Babolat. I serve better with Prestige-type frames and tend to play a bit sloppy and not as aggressive as I'd like with powerful rackets such as this, but otherwise it's really nice. Always worth a try!
whatchu dont like about the GRads? i moved to a thinner beam, PAT would be going wrong direction for me.
for now I have tried 90% of racquets on the market, didn't find any that I have fall in love except pt630 but my weight and condition are not nearly in shape for PT.
The paint is much nicer on the Ltd Edition version of that racquet if you can get your hands on one. I have two but with different specs of course. Agree they play well. I have seen some high level players doing serious damage with them.

The PA VS is the best Babolat out there at the moment, in my opinion - dumps from on high upon the PS16.
i just had to wait for it to come in a less gaudy color than stars/stripes (no offense, Merica)
Do tell more, please. The best babolat to date is still the pure storm gt for me. Trying to get the new strike dial in. Have never tried the aero storm or PA VS yet.
Even in stock form (the non-tour) VS feels meaty, probably because of the decent twistweight and box beam hoop. It's arm friendly and retains that old school direct feel for the ball on contact - not totally muted and disconnected like the new PS (how it felt for me). 16x20 string pattern gives it a nice combo of control and spin. I found the new PS string bed too unpredictable. VS is not PD powerful so people that want that will probably not be fans, but it's not a sponge either. I wish they made the throat boxy or square as well as I find the aero shape a bit odd in my hand.
I was wondering about that ... it has been my go-to string for so long. any suggestions on what has worked better for you? i tend to like polys with a little life in them ... cyclone is a little too dead for me, for example.
Sounds like a stick I must try! I appreciate the easy power of the PD, but sometimes it's too much power. I play best with a leaded up PStorm GT. Still getting acquainted with the new PStrike. I do find the new strike more versatile but I am still more consistent with my modded storm. I'll try to get my hands on a PA VS. Thanks for sharing your feedback.
havent gotten a chance to try it out. it's lighter/whippier than I expected ... much less bulky beam than the pure aero.
The box beam makes it feel way more solid than the PA despite the thinner beam.
I have been putting lead at the top of the hoop which makes those serve bombs go nuclear. I find the torsional stability good enough not to need lead at 3 and 9. But I can see how the extra weight there would help with plowing through those heavier balls.
