Djokovic Clay Season

Long time lurker here. Have been following the sport for a while now and Djokovic is my favorite player.

Unlike a few others who seem disappointed with Novak after the IW/Miami losses, I think Novak is going to have a resurgent clay season.

I am hopeful that the 13th (and onwards) major is just around the corner.

There is really no competition if Djokovic is at his best.

Much respect for Novak, not a fan though.
I hope for his sake (and his fans) that he finds a way back to his best.
It’s not looking all that promising at the moment.

There is a certain Spaniard from Mallorca who should be decent competition for Djokovic on clay...

Problem is ND-13 is that Djokovic's play now is NC-17

Things look bad for Novak. But, we should never write off such champions, they usually find a way. But, I think clay is still too soon for his comeback. He completely had to change his game, takes time.

Of course. The Serbian fraud will win every tournament he plays from now if he pays Challengers. But in the real tournaments he will have hard time - the weak era is over and without the Serbian fraud will have hard time dominating

There is no way he will be ready for clay given how much he struggled with rallies on hard courts.

I hope he starts to play better because the sport needs it but I don't see anything happening for Novak in 2018.

Similar to the early days of the internet, I’m going ahead right now and prebooking WD40.

Of course WD40 might not be around by the time some player in the distant future comes along to make good on it. But humans as a species might also not be around, in which case none of this will matter.

The username, I'm dying.

Even said you're a longtime lurker, stellar job all-around.

Nole is my favorite player, too. I am just not as optimistic as OP. There is one thought that scares me the most: Wilander in '88 won 3 GS and nothing important after that. I really hope that won't be the case for Nole!

Several players, analysts and media have reported that Novak has been striking the ball very cleanly and has been showing lot of intent. The field better watch out.

Happy to share this beautiful day with my Novak brethren. I was sure that Novak will follow in the steps of his superiors Federer to make a super comeback and he did not disappoint.

I knew Novak will rise in the clay and start peaking thereafter and I was right.

Thank you Fed for showing the way to Novak that even with age you can still achieve if you have greatness in you.

Early this year after Miami, When everyone including #Nolefam discounted my champion , I kept my faith in Nole

He didn't disappoint at all

Go Novak !!!
