I know this is long shot and there are threads about Novak Djokovic's CYGS, but this year his achievement could be even two levels higher.
Calendar Year Grand Slam + Olympic Gold + YEC = Super Slam
Without doubt this is the most difficult GS-related trophy to achieve in a single calendar year.

No player has ever completed the Super Slam in a single season.
Steffi Graf has completed the Super Slam in a period of 12 months (1987 YEC, 1988 AO, 1988 FO, 1988 WIM, 1988 USO, 1988 Olympic gold).
Andre Agassi has completed the Career Super Slam (1990 YEC, 1992 WIM, 1994 USO, 1995 AO, 1996 Olympic gold, 1999 FO).

Why is the YEC included? This is about slams. I get why Olympics is included and it’s purely circumstantial. But winning the four slams and the YEC is not a real tennis achievement is it? YEC is nothing like a slam. Neither is Olympics I know but I can see why winning all slams and Olympic Gold is special.

I guess simply because YEC is the most important ATP tournament after GS as it's up to 1500 ranking points to earn and the pack of players is theoretically the strongest possible.

There's a wiki section on it, but I'm not sure it's a real tennis term.

Winning the YEC could be just as hard as winning a grand slam to be honest..

Playing the best players in the world everyday in a 3 set format (have to be focused in every game).

It just so happens that players don't have the willpower or energy by the end of the year so it is not as prioritized.

Every tournament Nole enters is his to lose. Of course it's much easier to cause an upset in best-of-3 (not much use in WTF because of the format, semis and final he's usually well settled) so his chances, as things stand and barring some unexpected turn of events (of non tennis origin) - his chances for a CYGS are pretty solid. Then it's CYGS + WTF and then it's Golden Slam/GS+WTF. Olympics are hard to gauge, although no DelPo this time, so...

I disagree. You can't slip once in a major. Theoretically...you can lose two matches and still win WTF if statistics align favourably.

Ok. But still a YEC is not a slam so I don't know how it fits into the ultimate slam thing. But there you go.

Even if he manages to win the Olympics he won't accomplish the golden slam because the Olympics belong to the year 2020, even though they will be played in 2021.

It's like if Wimbledon 2020 had been played in March 2021, then a player could potentially win 5 GS this year, surpassing Rod Laver's feat LOL. I'm sorry, but no.

He hasn't won this tournament in 6 years, and has been comprehensively owned there the last few times. Granted it'll be a new location, so new conditions could shake things up, but I think it's safe to say that it's very much an uphill battle for dudes that age at that late point in the season to physically overcome the younger ones.

How about winning the real slam again? Nobody has ever won all 5 slams in a year.
