Djokovic's peak level against Federer and Nadal?

It seems not long ago Djokovic's fanatics were clamoring all over the internet about how Djokovic's major titles might reach 20. Annoying as it was, now with Djokovic injured and not motivated any more, I kind of miss him.

I always admire how Djokovic raised his level in 2011 and achieved 2 remarkable seasons in 2011 and 2015. So let's discuss his peak level on hc, grass, clay against his rivals Federer and Nadal.

I think peak vs peak
Djokovic>Federer>Nadal on slow hc
Federer>Djokovic>Nadal on fast hc
Federer>Djokovic>Nadal on grass
Nadal>=Djokovic>Federer on clay

What is your opinion? Keep in mind that Nadal now has 3 USO while Djokovic only gets 2....

Just peak play

Clay: Nadal >>> Djokovic > Federer
Slow hard courts: Djokovic > Federer > Nadal
Fast hard courts: Federer > Nadal = Djokovic
Grass: Federer > Nadal = Djokovic
Indoors: Federer = Djokovic >>> Nadal

Something roughly like that. That is general and vs the field. Of course in individual match ups that can be altered some. The individual match up between Federer and Nadal favors Nadal generally, and Djokovic vs Nadal favors Djokovic generally.

I agree, but people like our dear friend @NatF insist Federer is better peak for peak than Djokovic even on slow HC because of AO 07

Agree with this and @deacsyoga's I also agree the indoors which he put as equal and you as equal to slightly better for Fed is the most debatable. I could see arguments for equal or for Fed being slightly better both.

So the best ever player on clay needed Murray to make 2 double faults while serving for the match to survive? o_O

yes. Murray zoning is maybe the 2nd or 3rd best ever on clay, right behind Nadal.

Nadal deserves to be closer to Djokovic on grass imo, otherwise perfect list

I was mightily impressed by Djokovic's game indoors in 2012-15, as well as the occasional flashes he showed outside of that period. The guy won 7/8 events in those years and lost only two matches. But since Federer was doing ridiculous stuff in Houston and Shanghai while being more than a good competitor to Djokovic when the Serb dominated Paris and London, I couldn't have only said that they are equal.

I am pretty sure Federer would be better on true indoor carpet like they used to have, but we have to evaluate them based on what they play on today.

Djoker is not over Fed on slow HC's. Federer at his absolute peak beat everyone on every surface except clay and then usually only to Nadal. I do give Nole props for beating peak Fed at the 2007 Canadian Open, but Fed beat him 3 weeks later at the USO.

There is not a lot of evidence to suggest that peak Djoker is equal to peak Rafa on clay. When Djoker is on anywhere else though he is very tough to beat for either of them. Fed has RG 2011 as a feather in his cap but Djoker at his very best is as close to a brick wall as you can get.

Peak Djokovic is unbeatable according to Nadal. I will take his word since Nadal has a positive H2H against Federer and Djokovic has the numbers on both of them. Its pretty simple.
