When Fed wins today, it will show that both of these guys have solidified their dominance on clay and grass. Hard court will be the tiebreaker.
How can there be a tiebreaker? Nadal 7 Federer 1 career/ Nadal 3 Federer 0 (mayber 1 here) this year. Federer is still trying to match Nadal.
2 points to the finish....

hey count, even though the match isn't over, i was gonna thank everyone on this thread for watching the match, and KEEPING IT REAL. i'm so sick of all the fanboy b*llshit and all the stupid comments and predictions that have led up to this match.

this match has been competitive and BOTH nadal and federer have shown why they are the best in the game right now. i know general discussion will be full of trash talking once the final is over. but both players showed their strengths today and have a lot to be proud of.

i KNOW This thread was more than bearable. All the fanboys must be asleep still.

Thank god!!!!!Where are all u Nadalettes, the right man won on this court today!!!

One thing, i was screaming at the tv, i thought Fed played right into Nadal's hands by playing a ridiculous defensive baseline game.If he would have come to net more, it would have been straight sets!!!

Take that Nadal!!!

Congrats to Fed. And Nadal....my respect for him is so much higher now. The whole "he can't play on grass" thing is out the window. He has a nice game. I love his 2hbh. His forehand's consistent and super accurate like his 2hbh.

I wished Federer would express more emotion, more intensity, like what Rafa had. It was amazing to see how a guy can be down and still believe. I must say after Wimbledon, my view of Rafa has changed and I'll be rooting for him to win many more titles. If it's not against Federer.

Damn, so close. I was teased. I almost would have preferred an earlier loss. The close ones hurt more.

Close? Do you mean as in he got to the finals or do you think the score was close? Cause if it's the latter then well...... :-|

I though his emotion was appropriate, more relief than anything.. He will show emotion in the ceremony in a few min I'm sure.

Oh well. That's how it's supposed to be... Rafa the king of clay..and Roger the king of grass.
I'm glad Nadal showed he can reach finals of Wimby, and play good.
Congrats to Roger.

Can't we all just get along? Both are great players. If it was anyone else I probably would have slept in and tivo'ed it but because of this new rivalry i'm actually up early. Tennis just became MUCH more interesting.

"Yeah maybe, it is difficult to face."
-Rafael Nadal when asked how it feels to face Roger Federer's serve after getting creamed by him in the 2006 Wimbledon Final.
