How many? I know there are many believers out there.

I believe he finishes with 18. Hard to imagine a top player being able to beat the number one player in the world so many times, and not win another major.

I fear none, but I hope he will win 1 more… 2 is too big a call to make, all stars would have to align while we have a solar eclipse for that to happen. As to beyond that… Not happening.

If he gets 1 this year, I can imagine a final slam before his retirement. 0-1 does seem the most likely.

People say if certain player was playing in this weak era, he would have won slams. According to that logic, Federer should win a few because this version of Federer is still as good as most of top players in history.

I know. I don't like this 'weak era' stuff.

1 in best situation, but Feddy always leaves the impression of 1 more. If this year goes empty again, it is all said and done

There can never be enough slam wins for the biggest Federer fans.

Didn't we see the exact same posts before he won Wimbledon 2012?

I can see one more slam, at Wimbledon most likely.

I don't see USO #6 happening. It may be the second fastest slam (or the fastest), but it's also very bouncy. Nadal, and to a lesser extent, Djokovic can use that to their advantage.

If Nadal is taken out though early though, USO could be the next most likely slam, if Federer is to win another slam (after SW19).

Do you seriously mean that you think the biggest fans of a certain player can never be satisfied?

In a word, yes. You see that with people in every fan base.

Nadal has nine French Open titles, but I doubt there are any fans of his who wouldn't want a tenth.

Federer has 17 grand slams, but his fans obviously want an 18th.

No fan is ever going to say about his favourite player that s/he has "won enough".

I think that's perfectly understandable, but I take it you disagree?

Completely. How else could I appreciate not active sportsmen or artists? Maybe I am the odd one out but I am content.

Except he is not a former pro player yet, so he still has a chance on winning GSs.
And it's bigger than most imo, but at the same time, saying he is completely winning one, is a longshot anyway.

Anything between 0-2. Just too bad that there are no more slams on REAL hard courts, like Dubai/Cincy. That's why I think Wimby is his most realistic chance.

OTOH, if Edberg can REALLY build him that confidence to consistently rush to the net then who knows! From the back of the court his winning days are behind him.

But I am also content if he hasn't. I was giving an example where appreciation is possible when people can no longer contribute in terms of achievements. The grief over Nimoy's passing has scrambled everyone's brains.

0-1 is the most likely outcome. If I had to make a choice I would say 0, but won't give the poll the satisfaction of my vote.

If he didn't, no one with half a brain could be upset that he couldn't, given what he had accomplished already. We agree on that, I guess?

None, but I don't care. Every time he steps on court it is a privilege to watch him play.

Here's Federer's TODO list as of 3/6/2015:

1.) Win 2015 Wimbledon
2.) Make SF at 2015 US Open and hope for the best
3.) Make final at 2016 Wimbledon and anything can happen
4.) Win 2016 Summer Olympics gold medal in Rio de Janeiro*
5.) Make Jimmy Connors like "last stand" at 2016 US Open
6.) retire

* my top priority

One, possibly two more Wimbledons or a Wimbledon and U.S. Open if the draw opened up via an early round upset of Djoko, Rafa etc. - I'll go with 2.

He has fair chances and time until Nishikori & Raonic generation matures up and start to beat him at slams.
