Just got my babies back from the shop... went and saw Romans kid at USTA campus. Shawn is awesome. Highly recommend dropping in to see him if you’re ever in the area. all weighted and matched to spec. String demo resumes

nice! what are the final specs on those bad boys?

Wanted to provide an update on my initial review which was a bit critical. After letting the racquet sit in the heat for a while to reduce the factory tension, I went out to hit and play points with a local 5.0. Definitely the racquet transforms on fast swings and higher level play. It lost its boardy feel I initially reported because the ball speed was much higher or because the strings loosened up or likely both. As another poster said this racquet demands you swing fast, and he's right. When you do the stick does shine when playing at a higher level with heavy ball generation, solid accuracy, and decent feel. Serves had much more pop also from the additional stiffness. So in general if you are playing high level tennis this stick works well, but if just hitting around casually pull something else out because this will dissapoint.

Overall, I'm much happier with it even though its different than what I was initially expecting/hoping (113B like).... Solid stick and now my main go-to....
My impression too. The PT2 works great with fast, solid swings, high racket head acceleration. At 60 years, I am probably not up for it. Ironically, my weighed down RF97 (no leather grip, two overgrips) allows me to get away with "less effort". This is with POSG at 26kgs/57lbs, but I suspect I would find 22 kgs "mushy"...

Realy nice!
Same question. What specs are they now?

I actualy like the original specs.
But hesitate to weight them up to 340g unstrung like my original ones.

358/31.7/342 strung spec with 17g poly no over grip or dampener

I liked the spec with just the leather but felt it was begging for a bit more weight. It’s really not that much heavier than they were before but a bit more thump :)

Update: got out for an hour and a half hit today and the frames are perfect. The extra weight is exactly what I was looking for.

How you liking Lynx Edge in the PT2.0? I’ve played it in Gravity and Speeds. It’s a solid string to me. More of a muted feel than crisp I’d say with less spin than my Tour Bite Soft. The control and tension maintenance are it’s top features to me.

I think it bites more than any of the tour bite

Not crazy about the string in the 2.0 to be honest. Liked firestorm and RPM blast both better but it is a good string for sure

Tried vs gut 50 and Hurricane at 48. Nice but too low tension.. but unsure that it might be too powerful even with higher tensions..

Gut at 50 is too low. You have to string natural gut in the low to mid 60s to have the same dynamic stiffness as poly strings in the high 40s.

I think I need to buy 2 more!! I never played with the PT57E or PT57A but God Dayum I’m loving this stick! I mean zero bad vibes and I don’t even play with a base grip. Just 2 tourna grips and full poly at 50 pounds and my arm is fresh as a daisy everyday!

So now that the Head 360+ Prestige line doesn’t offer the 95 sq. in 18x 20 mold are we to expect that the Pro Tour 2.0 is the end of the 95 sq. in 18x20 line?

Love this racquet. Hate this grip shape, even after switching out to a leather grip. The bevel edges are just way to vague for me.

It is too flat. Try to build up neivel 12 and 6 o clock when racket is laying down. To make it more like Wilsons

Ny arm is having issues with this frame.. no matter what string. Could be the swingweight..
what kind of issues?

The swing weight was a concern for me even though I'm playing with an iPrestige/Radical Bumblebee/and an Angell TC97 that matches the Radical. I don't play with those full time but like to use it to warm up or get a match.

Tennis elbow issues. And weak grip. Pain with one hander, both slice and topspin

I even modded my Head 2.0 cutting some of the cap , to be 325 swingweight. But may do even more
I remember you mentioning that. I picked up a PT280 recently with standard grommets. Will leave it that way for a while. I wonder though how the PT2.0 would play for me all the same. One day...maybe

yes - i have switched to non cap grommets which has reduced static wight to 314g and SW to 285 (both unstrung specs) - racket far more maneuverable for me now. Still plays great, maybe not as solid on volleys as before but like i say more manageable for me personally
Great, sounds like a good option. What grommets did you go with? Was the fit flush?

@SPENDOG
which radical grommets did you go for?
Would they even fit to the original PT630?
i know for the fact that the Microgel Radical grommet fit the RT630.... and the same CAP grommet also fit both the PT630 and RT630..... so the Microgel Radical grommet should fit the PT630 8-B
