A nice run, Justine ... and congrats to Sam Stosur.
Justine has to watch footages of Stosur's serves and learn a thing or two.
I hope Justine win Wimbledon. That would mean much more to her than another French title.
I hope so too. She really needs a serve though.... she can't win Wimbledon like Nadal (who isn't the best server), just not enough stamina and consistency.
Like I already said after the Sharapova match Henin is completely washed up. Considering the pathetic clay court field today she would be a lock to win the French if she were even 70% of what she used to be. It just shows she is even much less than that. She will never win another slam.
Just a really well played match by Sam Stosur. She was just punishing Henin with those serves and those Nadal-like heavy forehands that forced Henin to hit so many backhands at shoulder-level.
Stosur's always had the variety, but has never been able to put it all together. Glad to see it's finally coming together for her. Her style of play is very entertaining to watch.
The heavy conditions since the middle of the 1st week have really benefited the bigger hitters, in both the men's and women's. So this isn't that big of a surprise.
It's too bad Henin seems so fragile...when she came back she claimed she was relaxed and confident, blah, blah but she's kind of a basket-case. She looks up to her coach after every point and she's so tentative. I hope she gets it together.
I thought it was just me. I haven't seen her play much but caught the end of her match with Petrova. I found her extremely annoying with the I'm in love with myself, attitude. I was so glad when Nadia finally won.

Rezai is extremely arrogant. Just because she won tier 1 masters event she suddenly thought she was a slam favorite. Absolutely ridiculous. Her game is pathetic, like worse version of Shriekova.
Vaidisova had a darn good forehand when she was still around. Rezai hits it very hard and flat. Other than that the only other players that really come to mind would be Kuznetsova and Ivanovic before she became even crappier than she is now.
I was so glad to see Henin lose. I really don't like her game at all and was sick of everyone talking about how she should win the French etc. I'm glad she got a slice of humble pie. Perhaps if she get's enough of that she will retire again. One can only hope.
