"I was out of first serves," Henin said in a courtside interview after her first serve success rate slumped to 48 percent.

"She caught me cold and I was actually expecting it. I had to react, I was a bit slow.

"In the first set, my tactics paid off and then I let her take control. She is a champion. I have a lot of admiration for her. It was a good test. I am so happy to still have an opportunity to win here.

"It was a difficult third-round match, but I'm the world number 23 so I'm not spared by the draw."

She was up 2-0 and 40-0 in set 3

There was no excuse for her losing this match.

Did you see the match? Henin's defense was phenomenal. She was like a tiny Nadal out there forcing Shriekova into errors. She kept getting madder and consequently started bashing harder. It was never in doubt after Justine saved 4bp being 2-0 down. Justine is mental giant.

Agree. Great mental toughness from Henin. I really wanna see her face Serena. :)

If Henin wins the title, we're up for some great matches. henin-Sharapova, Henin-Stosur, Henin-Serena, and the semis and final should be good anyway. Henin is great mentally, I just hate how she keeps looking to her coach. Daddy issues, much.

I hate her "ALLEZ"´s after UEs of her opponnent.

Because others don't do it? Federer yelled "come on" on Rafa's error in Madrid, time to start hating him and every other player who does it!

Yeah every player does it, but not after every single f***ing UE from an opponent. It's the single most annoying thing about watching Henin. I don't understand how people who despise Murray in one breath because of this can slurp Henin all day when she's far worse when it comes to this. It's so amateurish.

Henin played the same crap like yesterday, so coaching hasn't helped her.

Agreed. Plus it's not like she doesn't get on court coaching already when she looks at Rodriguez like a lost puppy after every point.

Really not impressed w/ Henin. If Sharapova had taken advantage of those BPs, not only in the 3rd but throughout the match, it may have been a different result.

Henin got lucky with darkness. Sharapova had momentum going into the 3rd set but it was cut due to conditions.

Had they continued, Sharapova would've won because Henin wouldn't have had coaching from her coach.

Did you watch the first 3 games of the 3rd set?

Sharapova was steam-rolling Justine, much like she would have, had the match continued the previous day.

But Justine reversed the whole situation down 0-40 in the third game.

You can never judge a match based on momentum, because momentums have a way of swinging.

It is funny to see the bookies still all have Henin as the clear favorite for the title even after this match. Are the people betting all blind.
