California, Texas and GT Regionals will be interesting.

UCLA and Pepperdine regionals could have an upset in the finals if the 2 seeds get through, but I doubt it.

Others don't look very competitive.

One of the tricks to analyzing kickoff weekend is to look at the way the draft shook out in June. GT's was full after 3 picks, which means the first three teams all liked the possibility of advancing out of that regional. The early teams tend to pick regionals where they think they have a good shot of getting to the national tournament, while the later teams tend to pick to minimize travel costs.

Oklahoma is the favorite in the Tennessee region. I wonder how well the Vols will do at home

Duke vs. VCU in Durham. Mikej will be glad that Luke Marchese is resting and Jason Tahir is trailing 1-4 in the 1st set. :)

Otherwise, things are going pretty smoothly for Duke, as expected.

I'll be at the Lindsey Hopkins Indoor Tennis Center tomorrow to catch UGA take on TCU. May even try to see the tail end of the early match.

Assuming UGA wins, I want to go watch the match on Monday, but it's always really weird doing so because NO ONE is there...Anyone else have this happen? Oh well. Awkwardness never stopped me; will probably go anyway.

It turns out to be a big difference between they're best team ever and their best team ever. I don't think they are the best team ever. :)

Bruins over Alabama 4-0 - would have probably been 5-2 or 4-3 if they played it out

Couldn't find the score recap over the Fresno State match.

I see that Adrien Puget, who has been out with an injury, returned but they put him at #6, where he won 6-0, 6-0 over a good player. I expect to see him at #3 soon.

Clay Thompson did not play for UCLA, so he must be injured. I expect to see him at #4. Those two changes would push Tabatruong and Mkrtchian down two spots to 5/6, where they will be more effective. Brigham will go back to being a doubles specialist. That UCLA lineup will be pretty good.

If you had told me duke was going to pick up 6 easy wins and struggle not to lose in straights in one match, I'd have bet you everything in my bank acct Tahir was the outlier

Positive step moving him down to 6 - but still about 5 spots too high

Bring back the marchesmo!!

4-0 Ole Miss. Very impressive. Their unknowns who enrolled in January are making a huge impact. I still think Georgia is favored to win the SEC, but Ole Miss and Kentucky will be in the thick of the battle.

foreign recruits are the key to victorious season... this fact makes me sick.. too bad for USA homegrown ...

Are there any teams out there that are all "home-grown" now? Seems like most teams have at least 2 or 3 on their roster. Is there a limit or something set in the rules? A team can't trot out 6 foreign players can they?

Ole Miss just did. And I really don't care. get the best players you can, borders don't define how good a player is.

yeah that's good for pros and pro teams but this is supposed to be college .. maybe I'm starting to agree with one of the poster here where I read : he said we should get rid of all college sports..

Why can't we just set a limit? I live in Japan and the professional baseball teams have a set limit of the number of foreigners they can have in the lineup at one time. I think it was two. Why can't college tennis do the same? These are American colleges and we should think about the American students as well as give the foreigners a chance to compete for the spots on the team.

Looks like Marchese has been out hurt (or sick) and is not in form. Hemmeler is resting in singles against Washington, and Marchese is not looking too sharp.
