Let's put Nadal's 2010 season into perspective: How impressive it is really?

2005- Nadal won RG, 4 Masters and 11 titles
2006- Nadal won RG, 2 Masters and got to the Wimbledon final
2007- Nadal won RG, 3 Masters and got to the Wimbledon final

All those years are quite clearly better than Federer's 2003.

What's better? Getting to a final of a Slam or winning the Masters Cup? Probably the Masters Cup. But Federer's Slam results in 2003 were quite poor. So I guess all those three Nadal seasons do trump Federer's 2003.

Makes sense.

I think instead of Fed's 03, the OP should have included Fed's 10 in that place -- winning a slam, a masters event and a masters cup is clearly above Nadal's 05, 06 and 07.

Anyone who places a heavy significance for a davis cup win on an individuals career is delusional.

Davis cup is a team event limited to the talent pool in your country. An individual does not play every match and can only be considered a contributor to a win and never a decider in a win.

There are way too many factors that go into determining what countries get a shot at a davis cup title.

The only way it logically makes sense to give a heavy weighted value to a davis cup win for an individual is if that individual participated in every single davis cup tie and their wins in each tie helped be the deciding factor in their nation advancing in that round.

Murray had won his last 4 matches on HC with Rafa until WTF.
Djoker had straight setted him three times on HC before USO final.

As a famous Nadal fan you should know that the season doesn't consist of HC only. Could you tell us something about greatest victories of Murray and Djokovic on clay and grass?

And, what's obvious because you are a famous Nadal fan, you do not see that both Murray and Djokovic played worse this year than in previous seasons.

BTW could you tell me something about big fighting spirit of Rafael Nadal during WTF final? Was it a surprise for you?
