Paraphrases Billy Corgan:

"I don't believe in them; I just believe in me."

I've still got my hair.

I could see why the big 3 has haters. Fed was a big time whiner and diva. when things didn’t go his way. Nadal was always “injured” with some extremity. It was never he was just outplayed. And djokovic is that kid always trying to fit in with the jocks and “cool kids” at school

Not to mention as good as they were and how awesome their matches were, they REALLY made the game itself boring as hell. There’s only so many times you want to see the same three guys play each other. You want to see multiple rivals and threats on tour. It got old and predictable after a few years of “since everyone else on tour is worthless, what version of the big 3 will be in this final???”

I mean, to some extent, it's the nature of sports.

But there's definitely considerable bitterness.

Are you paid up on your dues, madam? Billing department's patience is running thin. :censored:

Why did you leave Rafa out of the statement? Trying to cheat the readers? And he mentioned Rafa first:

Even Rafa and Roger somehow have them. You’re like, how is this possible? They shouldn’t have.

I don't hate any of them. I do sometimes dislike how they occasionally act. In the end they are just normal people who happen to be great a tennis.

I believe that in reality none hates Federer, Nadal or Djokovic but their respective fans each other.

I think that's incorrect lol

Some fans really detest Federer. These are the same fans who complain about "The Western Media" constantly. They hate him for being a fake, rich, country club, sissy.

I wouldn't say I detest Nadal but I absolutely hate his gamesmanship tactics on court.

I don't mind Djokovic on court as much but he acts like a Bond villain off court.

It's a weird phenomenon. But it does generate money for the game.

Setting aside the internet goblinry angle of the whole thing.

I used to dislike Federer when he was younger for immature reasons - I thought he looked ridiculous with his haircuts and didn’t like that he cried all the time. Then he started winning everything while other players I liked better didn’t realize their potential or got derailed by injury (Safin, Nalby, Haas).

As he and I both grew up I came to appreciate him more. Fandom is a funny thing though, there’s not really a good, rational reason for anyone to become a serious fan or serious hater of some random athlete

Appreciate the candor. I'd imagine there are others in a similar boat.

As to the rhyme or reason behind ultra-fanaticism (or its inverse), I guess the mystery behind it is part of what keeps us engaged.

BeatlesFan is wrong. The majority of Fed fans hate the Spaniard.
Only because Nadal made Federer's life a living hell at such a young age when nobody else on the tour could challenge Federer. If Nadal had just been another pigeon, Federer fans would have zero issue with Nadal.

It's amusing to think some would prefer Med and Z trying to out-DF eachother to JesusFed dancing around the court blasting winners at will just because 'one player winning am bad'.

If you had more varied conditions, you'd have more players winning, you'd see more interesting styles come out. Enter the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s.

Saved a few keystrokes. And I knew that Nad devotees would do their duty.

Such a pathetic attempt at prevarication,

As to saving a few keystrokes, there is this keyboard shortcut thing where one can just select and copy, paste the title.... probably bitterness has addled the brain!

Didn't age well. Both the music and the people. I've recently listened to Siamese Dream and it was nauseatingly pop.
Even 'Today'? I know that was the biggest smash -- by far -- but it still pumps me up.

If it pumps you up that's all that matters! Guitars and drums are great on Siamese Dream, it's more pop than their first album Gish though.

I mean we all play tennis. A lot of folks in the sport both pro, high school, college and then usta/club/UTR leagues can whine and lose it. Talk to themselves and show plenty of frustration.

Everyone has there moments on court. Some are consistent with it. Others are one offs
