No Djokovic, no Nadal!?

Facing clay-court specialist Ferrer in the QF and Tsonga in the semi's (Djokovic routined Tsonga in 2011 Wimbledon semi's).

And he still couldn't get the job done against an ailing Federer.

Was it the easiest route to a Wimbledon final in history?

Nadals path to FO12 was easier. Ferrer and Tsonga were tough opponents who at times troubled murray

Hi troll,

in 1878 Patrick Francis Hadow won Wimbledon while on vacation from his coffee plantation in Ceylon. I suspect his route to the final was easier than Murray's.

The topic is about the toughest routes to Wimbledon finals, nothing to do with the French Open. It seems that you love hating Nadal. That's just low.

The question posed in the opening post is asinine. Many players have reached Wimbledon finals with substantially easier draws than the one Murray had at this year's Wimbledon. Sampras, for example, reached the 2000 Wimbledon final without playing anyone ranked in the top 40.

Says the guy who made a 'Murray won't make it past R1' thread. Followed by a 'Murray won't make it past R2 thread'. Followed by a 'Murray won't make it past R3 thread'. No doubt you would have posted more 'Murray won't make it past round n' threads but by the time he made R4 you were serving (another) ban.

The sooner the mods twig that you are troll formerly known as tennis_fan_182/passive_aggressive and give you a premanent IP ban, the better.

When Murray got to the final, did he then change it to Murray will never win a set in a slam final thread?

No doubt he would have - but was serving a temp ban.

Did you get my email yesterday? Just wanted to say congrats on your team's promotion and wish you all the best for the season ahead.

No I didn't. Thanks Batz. I'll check it now.
That's very gracious of you coming from a Rangers fan.
I was at a friend's wedding at House for an Art Lover near Ibrox in Glasgow a couple of weeks ago and provided the sound equipment and did some djing.
Next day I had to collect my gear and van. Took the tube and walked past the stadium in disbelief that a huge club like Rangers could go under.
When you look at that magnificent stadium it really hits home.
I don't take much pleasure in Dundee going up like this. Although not a supporter, I actually find what's happened to Rangers very sad.
Scottish football is really sick but maybe this is the kick up the backside it needs to improve things for the future.
I'm on hols in the Isle of Lewis just now. Not been keeping up to date.
What's happening with Rangers?

I hope Rangers join the EPL and never look back. Would be an instant fix. Of course nobody loves simple solutions.

SFA are saying that being demoted 4 divisions isn't punishment - we still need to be fined £160K and have a 12 month transfer embargo before they'll allow us into SFL3 - all for the actions of 1 man who is no longer anything to do with the club. This is despite a Scots Law Lord saying the tranfer embargo was incompetent/unlawful and UEFA themselves dropping plans to have transfer bans as punishments for breaking financial fair play rules. We've got 13 players (9 pro youth under 18 ). SFA are muppets.

Well, so did Murray's. He was seeded to meet Raonic and Nadal in addition to Baghdatis and Tsonga.

the fact that raonic lost early already lets you know he didnt have a chance against murray.

but agreed, rafa going out really opened up the draw for...tsonga. who got dispatched by murray.

When Dundee went into administration, not even liquidation, a couple of years ago, they also had a 12 month transfer embargo in addition to a 25 point deduction.
That was really tough.
I don't think they're targeting Rangers. Just the rules.

Edit: There was some kind of loophole Dundee used by signing good players on loan. That did the trick.

The OP requires somewhere he can truly shine, such as a kindergarten sub-forum; I'll gladly volunteer as a moderator if that's what it's going to take to separate the infants from the seniors. You don't see children playing with adults on tennis courts, unless they're with their parents or a coach. No amount of coaching can bring TJ up to standard, other than the schooling of Father Time, and no one wants to be a virtual step-parent to the whelp. So let's observe tennis rules, where juniors are kept apart from the adults, and perhaps this site can reacquire a shred of respectability.

We've already had a 10 point deduction last year. I believe that Dundee got the sanction you allude to after going into admin for a second time? Our transfer embargo is nothing to do going into Admin/Liquidation, it relates to a charge of bringing the game into disrepute during Craig Whyte's tenure. There is nothing in the SFA rules that allows a club to be hit with a transfer ban for that 'offence' - that is why Lord Hardy ruled that the SFA's decision was incompetent and ordered them to re-consider. The SFA are runnining the risk of being in contempt of the Court of Session if they continue down the path they are on.

It's a bloody mess mate.

Rangers are cheats and liars and their punishment should be taken without any protest.

They have single handedly corrupted Scottish Football and rather than show remorse they have issued threats galore trying to bully smaller clubs to escape punishment.

Firstly - what do you mean by 'Rangers'? The majority shareholders? The legal entity? The fans? The players? The ground?

Secondly - once you've confirmed the identity of the target of your ire, perhaps you can provide some evidence of the 'cheating' and 'lying' that has gone on.

When you've done that, you can then provide some evidence for your contention that Scottish football is corrupt, and that this is solely due to the people or things you stated in 1.

Thanks.

1) I mean the David Murray, Craig Whyte, Campbell Olgilvie and all those dumb fans like you that bought the lies they were told about there club. Sandy Jardine threatening anybody who speaks out.

2) EBT's, my father in law being owed 12 thousand as a creditor, non payment of PAYE, money owed to other clubs, non signing of catholics, RBS Funding Murray at the expense of normal taxpayers and last but not least Campbell Olgilvie still being at the SFA while their is clear evidence that he knew about EBT's

That seems like a hard draw to me, just because he didn't have to play Rafa/Nole in the semi, this was balanced out by having potentially very difficult opponents in every round, and he got past them all without even going to 5.

I'm no murray fan, but was impressed by the way he navigated a difficult draw.

It was a fairly tough draw imo, and Murray did absolutely great making it to the final.

Nadal has had 2-3 a lot easier draws at FO.

The OP is just trolling as usual. If Murray had won the Wimbledon final, he would no doubt have started a thread entitled "Does anyone else think Federer deliberately tanked the Wimbledon final?" or something to that effect.

Hopefully he'll be banned again soon, just like his earlier aliases.

Sampras reached the final in 2000 with a much easier draw. His semifinal opponent wasn't even in the top 200!

No - we are Rangers, and we'll always be Rangers. Unless you think that Leeds Utd, Boro, Plymouth, Fiorentina et al no longer exist. Among the assets bought by Green were all marques and historical records. That said - I'd rather have died with our history than lived with Celtic's - whatever Whyte and Murray did (and I hate both of them with every fibre of my being) they didn't sit back and allow institutional child abuse to occur.

Re 2 - I'm sorry to hear about your Father in Law - has he contacted the RFFF? They are paying off a lot of the smaller creditors. For the record - Rangers banked with HBOS/LBG not RBS, Rangers have signed lots of Catholics, EBTs aren't illegal and no liability has yet been determined - but don't let any of those facts get in the way of your righteous indignation. I notice that you focus on Rangers overall, rather than the 2 men who actually did the deeds - I wonder why that is. As a shareholder and supporter - I'm as much a victim of this debacle as anyone else.

PS you really should boff up on the use of there/their and its/it's - I blame the schools myself.

Murrays route was actually quite tough. There have been many routes to a Wimbledon title that were far easier.

Sampras' route to the 2000 Wimbledon title:

Jiri Vanek (CZE) 80
Karol Kucera (SVK) 44
Justin Gimelstob (USA) 99
Jonas Bjorkman (SWE) 78
Jan-Michael Gambill (USA) 56
Vladimir Voltchkov (BLR) 237
Patrick Rafter (AUS) 21

Mate i'm sorry but you are not a victim. You thought Murray was god for 20 years and you never raised any questions, you thought the media was trying to discredit Whyte and your lot buried your head in the sand.

Your not the victims! the victims are the clubs who will have reduced tv money.

So my shareholding and bondholding that was worth a substantial amount (more than your Father in law is owed) counts for nothing then?

Don't you dare tell me what I did or didn't think about Mr Moonbeams and the Google eyed gimp. There were plenty of Rangers fans on minty's case for a long time - and I never bought Whyte's lies from day -1, I didn't want him to get the club in the first place; Stevie Wonder could see he was a wrong 'un.
