How many clay masters has he missed in the same timeframe?
He'd have probably skipped Madrid more often if it hadn't been played in Spain. The last one he missed was Hamburg 2006, when both he and Federer killed each other in Rome.
Well, that's why he only has 10 of them LOL.
But Nadal's strategy is simple: skip the masters you can't win and mostly play those you can.

Fedr GOAT. The only one to make Nadal miss a clay tournament. The last one he missed was Hamburg 2006, when both he and Federer killed each other in Rome.

I only said why he has just 10. Not criticizing his HC ability. How many guys have 10 HC masters?

Fedr and Coria GOATS.Probably.
Coria made him miss Hamburg 2005
My last sentence mostly applies to the last few years when Nadal has skipped masters on HC regularly.Your last sentence was unnecessary then, he's won 7/9 just like Federer and only Djokovic has won them all.
Probably.
Coria made him miss Hamburg 2005
FTFY.I miss BO5 masters finals. Imagine a year like 2011 with BO5 finals at IW/Miami.
Fedr and Coria GOATS.
On a serious note, goes to show what would have happened if the BO5 format in masters had been kept. Who knows how many more masters the Big 3 would have skipped then. Even Murray.
The Miami final would have been fire in BO5.I miss BO5 masters finals. Imagine a year like 2011 with BO3 finals at IW/Miami.
The Miami final would have been fire in BO5.
Not so much at IW where Nadal dropped his level after the first set.
Well, it didn't in the USO final. His ground game was fine, it was his serving that dropped. Maybe best of five could have given him more time to fix the issue

With Fed pulling out too that opened the way for Tommy Robredo to win his only Masters 1000 title.
7, including 2017 where he only played one match and then withdrew. How many WTFs has he skipped?

Why you think so? MC and Rome are not in Spain and he never misses those... If you think of conditions in Madrid, have in mind that there are no many high altitude big cities so he would play anyway...He'd have probably skipped Madrid more often if it hadn't been played in Spain.

I mean even in desert it's raining occasionally, but not on Nadal's precious clay... Lol...
Well, he was cleaned of the court year before... He avoided same destiny by pulling out... Those thinking Nadal would leave the tournament if he hadn't to play Novak soon are nuts...How about withdrawing from RG16 before 3R? Does it count as rain in your desert?

It's really not hard to admit Djokovic is a ridiculously good tennis player now if yall could actually admit the same about Nadal THAT would be news.
Nadal is a ridiculously injured person who plays good tennis?

You know that in 2017 Novak was injured and everyone beat him right and left?He was cleaned off the court back in 2015. But just mere 2 years later (at the age when more years become clear disadvantage), WHEN HEALTHY, he cleaned everybody else off (without dropping a set, no less; incl. Thiem who sent Novak home with a bagel in the third)
I seriously doubt a healthy Rafa fears Djokovic on clay.
