I think it's more than clear now that Fred, Ned and Joe will end their careers as the 3 greatest to ever play the game. I don't think their records will be as easily surpassed as Sampras' were.

7. Pete Sampras
8. Bjorn Borg

10. Andre Agassi

Djokovic now the most complete tennis player of all time. Every single big title.
That's seriously twisted list. How can Connors be above Borg & Sampras? Nadal below Rosewall and Djokovic? Huh?

isn't it a little fishy that the three best players ever somehow played in the same era? Unless by 3 greatest you just mean 3 with the best careers.

I think they are both the greatest and had the best careers (or will have in Djokovic's case). They had advantages working for them that other generations didn't have though: advanced physiotherapy and sports medicine, and the less polarizing conditions. Nevertheless, their greatness and mastery of the big tournaments just cannot be denied.

For Open Era:

You are presumably counting Laver and Rosewall's entire resumes, otherwise they should be lower ranked. So the list should be not an Open Era list but a list of the greatest players to have played at least part of their career in the open era.

If they won a GS in the Open Era then I count their careers. So Pancho and Emerson just miss the cut

Puts Djokovic ahead of Nadal.

Fandom checks out. ROFLMAO!!!
I think Djokovic, with this final piece of his jigsaw puzzle added, has just passed up Nadal. He has all the big titles, won 4 majors in a row on 3 surfaces, along with the 2015 Championship, AND has a leading H2H against Nadal.

actually no one cares what you say.
Laver has 2 CYGS, Federer has the Slam and #1 record, Djokovic has the NCYGS on 3 surfaces as well as every single big title, and Rosewall has the majors record (GS+Pro)

Nadal could well give himself a serious claim to the throne if he wins another Wimbledon or WTF or passes RF in the Slams, but as of now he's still not #1 in the race in any way.

He has 4 more majors than Djokovic, Nadal is ahead of Djokovic don’t be delusional, The only way Djokovic can be the GOAT is if he surpasses Federer’s slam count , Guys like Laver are irrelevant

Interesting list.. Tennis during the height of its popularity was shown on a major network station (when there were only 3). alongside the most popular programming. Competition was extremely stiff, and was a major sport. During that time, Bjorn was the best and McEnroe dethroned him ultimately causing the Swede to retire early. When Borg left, McEnroe lost the desire to compete.. and ultimately faded into the sunset.

Lendl reigned supreme at a time when tennis popularity started to declined and is now seen as a fringe sport. Sure, there are a few on that list worth mentioning, but tennis is not what it used to be. Not remotely close.

One should also take into consideration that the AO was not even looked upon as a 4th major since many top players skipped them altogether.

Winning 11 of 16 majors on clay makes him a clay court specialist. What defies conventional wisdom is that same clay court specialist also won twice on grass. I would say that makes him the #2 Goat in the modern era.
