Nice. But my main post, I don't like Tsonga, the way he celebrates after an unforced error and just the way he celebrates bothers me a lot, I give him credit for his big wins but he acts like hes the s***. Some others that just bore me are Murray, Del Potro, Davydenko, and Simon. They all look the same when they hit. They don't add excitement like Federer, Nadal, or Verdasco.

The Williams Sisters. They could have so many slam titles by now if they would just work harder off court instead of worrying about fashion design and whatever else. If they can beat everyone being off form and out of shape, imagine how good they'd be if they were in shape and match ready every time they stepped on the court.

So I'll join in too. More so regarding the idiosyncrasies of certain players....

The main lot not in any order...

Ivanovic - that fist pump.

Roddick - he's almost squirrel like in his movements between points, and that shirt pulling does my head in.

Nadal - his butt pulling and taking his time between points.

Federer - no matter how hard he tries, he always manages to p@ss people off in interviews, although I don't think he is arrogant. Just wish he'd say less at times!

Blake - his impatience and general negative body gestures. But I love his play.

Monfils - his celebratory acrobatics.

However, in 3rd place, the collective screamers from the WTA....

In 2nd place, it has to be Murray - for the countless reasons mentioned already, but just to repeat a few of them; his celebrations, his style of play (effective but personally I find it tedious to watch), his muscle pumping after his Gasquet Wimbledon match, his monotonous interviews, and his mum.....

In 1st place.... Wait for it........

Serena.

Such arrogance off court, the way she is so condescending of everyone she ever plays, her comments re. money.....

I'd love to borrow the microphone that someone would like to bash Novak with, and knock 'niceness' into her.

Andy Murray for having his game be boring as snot, when he has the ability to not play that way( USO 08 semi final)

Also, I cant stand players with their constant come-ons, fist pumps, pointing to the heavens etc after every point. Rafa is borderline, but he generally doesnt 'Vamos' after his opponent makes an UFE so, he gets a pass. But Ivonovic, Oudin and my God I cant stand overrated Shoulderpova.

Players with annoying handlers(uncle toni, Yuri, Richard Williams, Bartoli's dad etc)

Slow as fricking molasses players. Babies have been born quicker than some of their matches( Nadal, Djoker, Boris Karloff, I mean Del Potro)

I used to hate Roddick b/c it seemed like he was trying so hard to be McEnroe with his constant arguing with linesmen, umpires etc. He has calmed down alot since then(read, been humbled), but it was still funny when he was b!tching and moaning the whole time as Monfils calmly dispatched of him at the French(on one leg at that!) For that matter, McEnroe is one of top ten all time biggest A-holes in tennis history, as a player and as a commentator.

People talk about Fed is arrogant? I positively couldnt stand Cheshire Cat Chucky Hingis in her prime. And Im a WS fan in general, but Serena has gotten a little tiresome over the years. I much prefer low-key Venus and wish she had the heart she had 8 years ago :| I mean, yesterday when the broadcaster asked Serena what the deal was with the #1 controversey and why she hasnt won a tourney outside of a major, Serena actually said with straight face "well...i tried, you know. I show up to win and all you can do is try". ROFL!

I wanted to throttle Tipsarevic in the 08 AO with his waiting two years to challenge the line calls.

+1 with one exception:

I've already told a few of my pals that the only player in the women's draw that I'm keeping track of is Kirsten Flipkens of Belgium. She's the only lady I've noticed who plays an interesting all court game with different plans of attack. I think I first saw her in some Aus. Open coverage this year. Don't recall her being a screamer and given her somewhat modest physical stature, her athleticism and innovation on the courts are remarkable.

Apparently Kirsten was instrumental in helping Kimmy Clijsters get it together for her comeback - too bad they had to meet in the third round, but at least two of the good guys (okay... GALS) were on the same court at the same time to put on a decent show.

Shame on the "powers that be" who oversee the WTA. The shrieks are beyond out of control - I've already turned off three or four matches this week because I can't stand it anymore. Fortunately the gang at ESPN only covered enough of the highlights of Azarenka's loss for me to enjoy the update without having to endure her vocal caricature of Maria - except that her wailing is even worse and she's an emotional train wreck on the courts.

I'm going to go ahead and assume that if you were a multiple grand slam winner, and Nike offered you your own sub-brand which would in turn generate millions for you, you wouldn't decline.

Sadly, we never get to see these players in the US unless they're playing a Williams or Sharapova, but Schiavone (beat Azarenka) & Maria Jose M-S (just lost to Serena) have athletic, crafty all-court games. MJMS actually does S&V(!)... anyhew, they rarely make it onto TV. And they're older. Carla Suarrez Navarro is crafty too, but more of a clay courter.

As for shrieking, yeah, it's clearly gamesmanship but as the top players do it, nothing will be done. It's funny but I don't find Azarenka quite as loud or obnoxious as 'Pova and Williamses.

Maria Sharapova by a million miles irritates me! and not just the stupid shrieking.

Whenever she serves, she gets the ball, walks back to the wall,stops, looks at her racket. Then she turns around, walks to the line to prepare to serve. She then puts her 'non existent' hair behind each ear, and prepares to serve. this is for every single serve she does.

i probably never would have noticed it, but i watched Djokovic do it once (as well as imitate Andy Roddick and Rafa) and now, thats all i see. ARGH

Why does Federer irritate you, he plays a very similar game to Graf - powerful forehand, great serve, and a good slice backhand (albait Federer has as much talent in his backhand as Graf does in her whole game, but still comparisons are there). You would think you would appreciate the game style he played, as it's similar to your idols.

I agree with Gorecki here. I love Federer's game, but would rather him revert to his pre-goofy outfit days. He can represent his own brand without wearing those kinds of ridiculous outfits. He can say 'no.'

Having said that, he seems like a really cool guy and a nice person, but the fashonista in him is, IMHO, lame.
