Got this one for 10€ and decided I'll try installing Head pallets on the hair pin. The code is PT924.5 (retail AeroGel 4D 300 Tour), and the Head pallets fit just well enough. With the leather grip, this one comes in at 312 g unstrung. On a side note, it really puzzles me why this stick (and its successors) is not more popular. Silky smooth copy of Head's finest. Well, I suppose the Dunlop name just isn't as strong as Wilson, but even the Tecnifibre copies are getting much more attention...

The restoration of a relatively recent acquisition was almost completed!
Only the repair of some small points remains, where, due to "old age", the satin transparent finish has been peeled off. I do not even know if I'm going to bother. However, color and graphics are in perfect condition!

It was bought at a very good price, but the price was only for the frame, as all the rest parts were useless...
I put new TK82S pallets (from std. L1 size), basic grip (it has only 5-6 rotten overgrips on top of each other !!!), new grommets (from Microgel MP - placed difficult, have to warmed a lot - as its own are cracked and glued badly) and new string, Polystar Energy 1.25 in 44-40 lbs (it has a synthetic-gut 15 years old). But I think it was worth restoring this "historic" (1999 release) Made in Austria Head Ti.Radical Midplus!

Thank you! I’ll be taking it out for a hit tonight :)
Serving and the 2HBH are a dream with this stick. I can see why the likes of Ivanesevic and Safin used this back in the day. Only serve I didn’t quite hit well was the slice, but both the kick and the flat were great. Touch of course was stellar. Hit some drop shots and lob volleys with deft touch.

The frame forced me not to be lazy with the forehand though, unlike the PK powerhouse, not sure whether I like that or not :p

I think everyone should have one (at least for the bitchin paint @n8dawg6 ).

I’ll have to tinker with the grip though, buttcap seems to be a bit loose and the base grip is some grimy ****.

Sad note: found out that a few weeks ago one of the guys in the winter playing group tossed a prestige Classic in the trash, because he thought nobody would want it.... (moment of silence)

I got lucky. They're only 2g off... 328g and 326g. Balance seems identical, although I don't have a way to officially check. Same with stiffness. The strings are pre-strung eh, and the base grip is complete garbage. I changed one out for a Gamma Hi-Tec that I had lying around. That's thicker and heavier. The grip was a pain to get off. It ripped and didn't all come off in one fell swoop. Had to pick and scrape the super gooey and sticky residue. I want to put leather on, but not real excited about taking the other one off. Grip shape is more rectangular than anything, like non-Speed Heads. Handle is graphite, not foam or pallets. Unfortunately they only have 4 1/2 grips left. Would've preferred 3/8. Each racquet was 20 Euro(s). Shipping for the two was 26 Euros. Fit and finish is better than expected. It'll be interesting to get these strung up with a preferred string. I'm not taking these into competition, or anything, so I was actually hoping to get one with advertised specs and one that was a little out of whack.

No one seems to like Babolat very much in this thread, but here are my frames.

3x Pure Control 2001 Swirly
1x KBlade Tour
1x HM 300G signed by James Blake
4x Pure Drive Roddick, 1 is still brand new

Probably gonna trade the KBlade and 300G for some more Babolat's, I've flirted with other brands (recently sold my 3 Fischer M Speed Pro One 98's, 3 MW 200G's and my 3 YouTek Prestige Pro's) but at the end of the day I just play much better with them and I've used them 90% of the time since we had a French exchange student stay with my family in 2000 before Roddick was a household name. He brought me the original swirly Pure Drive to try since he had a family member who worked for Babolat. I was 10 and I was using the TT Graphite Mid at the time and I just remember everyone at our club was asking me what the hell I brought to the group hitting session.

Wow 2 years later the only one of these I still have is the 300G, and I only didn't sell it because it was the lightest one and I'm keeping it for my fiancee to learn with....

I'm trying to permanently end my racketholism and just stick with my 3 Tecnifibre's
