Prestige Mid to become the racquet of the 2020s.

Ok, so I have enough of them to do an extended playtest and possibly switch if the world doesn't end.

...so...jussaying

-a tennis court has more than 6' feet to be able to be separated.
-don't need to touch the ball to feed
-changeovers on opposite sides of the court
- csing Clorox wipe instead of TournaGrip... with the red tape, of course.

Playtest time? It's been a hot minute since I've had my hands on a proper redhead.

Working on the house court as we speak.

I keep them separated so they don't fight.

That's amazing. Don't know the bag well enough so I have to ask; is there room in the middle to store things other than racquets? lol.

Also, out of curiosity, are the new Mids stock in weight? How did you have your Graphene MP's setup?

Yea, great bag, I keep all my assorted junk in the middle; also it has a big and a small side compartment.

The mids have a tiny bit of lead at 12 under the bumper so I can feel the tip better on my serve, the Graphenes are fully custom with lead and silicone injected into the handles, and lead under the CAPS, they are 13.4 or 13.5oz strung, gripped and ready to play, fully polarized with 100% of the weight at 12 or in the buttcap.

Thanks, it's pretty good, just doesn't agree with the cold.

Not really re-tooling, just polishing I guess?

Finally someone whose irl game can back his TT talking.
I’d like to demo one myself, been always curious about those small heads.
Situation here in France is still quite crazy, so I don’t know when I’ll be able to hit.

Hitting a few balls casually with the new Mid. Please excuse the 1hander, I am trying to rest my left wrist while I have no work or matches.

Aren’t you guys in quarantine? All clubs and courts here are closed (except the public ones, but they are all a piece of crap).

Wow. Very cool. What is up with you guys and courts in your backyards though?

I would love one too please, thnx.
I have a court in my family home outside Paris, but my wife insisted to stay home « so the kids can have all their stuff »...
So here I am, stuck playing in my small backyard with my 7y daughter and 4y son what looks like a mix between tennis and croquet...
And our only soft ball is having a nights out on our neighbor’s garden. Hope their beagle doesn’t find it ...

Haha, too funny!

I have 2 dogs, 2 old cats, 2 teenage girls and one wife in the house at the moment. We don't get along too well these days, lol. A court in backyard would help immensely.

I would find an excuse to go to the family home everyday if I were you :-D

There are no bad Head Prestige MP/Pro/Mid/S regardless of year. This line from Head is geared towards the serious player. So if you can't do this and that with a Prestige, ask yourself, are you truly ready for a Prestige? Are you in good physically fit condition and have solid techniques? Only you know. Don't expect the Prestige to do anything if you bring nothing to the table.

And you care about the color, you truly are not ready for a Prestige.

You forgot to add “in my opinion” somewhere in your post.

I am hearing good things about this years prestige line in the feel department. I own a few Youtek Prestige Pros that are getting old and kind of losing their playability with use.
Anybody switched to this newer version from an older model?

lol I can't hate on this. I owned a golden 93 camry. Was my beater car all through college. Sort of a hand me down from my mom to my sister and then to me. Never once let me down, ran on empty fuel sign in dash for most of its life. Total workhorse. Best part about this story: still parked at my parents place and works fantastic :-D

Oh and my 3 prestige demos on the way!! Found a private court every thing else closed!

-its a good update IMO!!
-last outgoing model was not that easy to like (it was abit on the heavy side)
-this new update is faster, slicker and feels good 2me
-this is definitely a must try, if you are a h.prestige player

I had a chance to hit with all three P360+s back in December and I was impressed (mid, Pro, and MP). Was tempted to switch but I had just settled for the Speed Pro last summer after weighing it up to 12.7; the new Speed Pro 360+ isn’t bad btw. There were characteristics I looked for in all of them but the mid and the MP were standouts. I need to grab some more demos when I can hit the courts again! Whenever that is :(

Looking forward to seeing your Mid review, Jolly.

Did Head manage to make these new racquets less horribly-stiff and hollow-feeling for real? I still own a Graphene Radical Pro (1st generation) which I can't stand.

Is it just me, or is your forehand technique cleaner and more fluid, with higher takeback, than it was a few years ago?
