Prince moving to ATL!

There are a lot of people around the Atlanta area playing tennis. At one time they thought pro tennis events would be big in Atlanta too, with all the players, but it just didn't work out.

I think prince made a good decision to move.
Hope prince will bring good things to Atlanta tennis community instead of just moving. A little disappointed to see that they are moving to Buckhead though.
Buckhead is convenient and close to airport but As a racket manufacturing company, I prefer to see their own facility (Probably $$$ issue).

I know nothing about the area. What is Buckhead?

I'm a little disappointed they are moving, as I was only a 3 hour drive away. Plus, they got their start in NJ.

I totally understand the reasoning, it's just too bad that they are leaving the area.

I hope that they get back to different stick naming: Rebel, Tour, Red, Blue etc instead of now stupido Tour everything!

Buckhead is supposedly a nice area there. Never been there myself though.

Buckhead is nice and expensive area. Not like Manhattan but similar.
I used to live in NJ/NY area for 15 years before I came in Atlanta ^_^
Since tennis is very active here, I prefer to see their headquater which has some courts, warehouse, etc... In the future, Hopefully they will be able to build total facility instead of just offices.

Buckhead is on the opposite side of town from the airport. Nice area, great restaurants/bars and a desirable business address.

I agree with Kimguroo! I think they'd do really well to eventually move their headquarters somewhere close to courts or even some schools. It would be great to see them sponsor local tennis teams (varsity boys and girls).

Aside from the small boutique guys (Weed, Avery, etc) is Prince the only US based Tennis company left?

Maybe off topic but are there any racquets still made in the US?

It will be really nice that Prince has their own facility at North areas such as Cummings because in that area, there are still huge land available.
At least 4 indoor courts, 6 hard courts and 2 clay courts.
Backside of indoor courts should have warehouses and their own headquater building. How good it can be haha.

I went racket demo day from tennis shop and babolat, Head, Willson and Prince were there. Very surprised to see so many people went prince court to test rackets. If prince is focused on recreational players, they will doing well.
Since Atlanta has great tennis cummunities. it's good new opportunity for them.
Hope Prince will bring new ideas to Atlanta tennis cummunities.
