Tried the 100 with ports. Very muted and not impressed at all.. but i like smaller and heavier so the 93 may work.

I can see that. The ports are overkill on a frame that is already soft.

I loved the feel of the POGs a lot. Some of my favorite feeling frames ever. I am hoping the 93P captures that feel because they didn't need ports back then.

The first mid I ever used was a burgundy Prince that I think was a 90. I switched to it from my 110 Chang model. Truly loved that frame, and its why I am interested in this one.

The Prince Response 90 and 110 were burgendy.

I wish Prince would bring back a 95sqin 14x18 frame (with 8 mains in the throat). The prince Chang racquets were that way and they were wicked. Don't need it to be a 28" racquet, though. They were about 11.5 oz, strung with damper and overgrip. very headlight..... And a Thor like 350-360 swingweight!

Full graphite, buttery soft and flexible.... And hot a hugely heavy ball!

Based on the rumored specs and pics, it looks like this frame may have a leather grip. If so, it looks like you could replace the leather grip with a lighter synthetic (yes blasphemy, I know), and the frame would probably weight 320 unstrung instead of 330.

From there you could string it up and have a more neutral balance of around 6pts HL, with a frame weighing in at 340 with an overgrip.

I believe this is the case based on looking at the frame. A simple mod, but for anyone who wants the racquet a little more head heavy, it could be a nice and easy tweak.

Yes, and for all the other phantoms if I'm not mistaken. They playtested prototypes and gave feedback and eventually when something was what they felt the racquet should be, they gave Prince the green light.

Phantom Pro 100P came out awesome, just wish it was a 98.

Who needs classic racket nostalgia when you've got new-classic stuff like Ultra Tour, Phantom 100P and Srixon 2.0 Tour...and hopefully Phantom 93 if it lives up to all the hype.

I really think a new age of tennis racket renaissance is upon us.

Could not agree more... nice time for these nice type of frames...also looking forward to at least trying the Phantom 93.

Yes, now come on TW. Let’s get on with the renaissance! You must have boxes of the 93p in stock already.

And will there be some for sale?
@GreenClay,

We are hoping! It's out of our control at the moment as we are waiting for them to get to us still. Possibly (hopefully) the second week! Fingers crossed!

Just wanted to say again how good it is that you folks are all so readily contactable/approachable re information etc. You really go the extra mile from what I can see.
@jmacdaununder2

Thanks for the kind words! It's easy for us when we are as excited and passionate about the tennis world just like you guys :)

I hope TW doesn't price this at something like $220 or $250 due to the hype.

The hype? You mean 30 people on an internet forum? I think you over-value your presence here. Most of the world is still wondering if Prince makes rackets. If they price it at $250 it will because it was costly to make a small batch and sell them to the few enthusiasts left that appreciate classic player's sticks.

Looks pretty similar to the Prince Graphite Pro 90 (also named Graphite Pro Series 90 at one time).

Named 90, but supposedly also 93 sq in size. 14x18 pattern which feels (surprisingly) like a perfect blend between spin friendliness with control. 17sh mm beam width, non-tapered/flat. Plays great. I have two, which I used in my youth. Great frames.

I have two of those graphite pro 90s and they play every bit as easy as my tour 100's. The spin window on those is wider than the head radical 98s. They are heavy but very headlight and cut through the air like nobody's business. I LOVE serving with them.

I have a couple of Power Series 90s (93"), a Pro and a Powerflex that are 14x18, weigh about 12.2ish. They are a pretty easy hit.
