hewitt draws karlovic 1st round, omg!!!
and nice...fed will play djokovic in SF if they both make it that far.

fed plays blake in 4th round, roddick in QF, im sure both blake and roddick are like &^*$%$&^&^&^&

verdasco meets nadal in QF, he must be cursing his luck.

It could be a tough start for Djokovic against Lapentti. He is a good clay courter and can push Djoko

haha so its not a conspiracy afterall, quite alot of people thought djokovic would land in rafa's half for sure...for the 4th year in a row.

Murrays Quarter seems tough.
Nadal will probably meet Ferrer in the 4th and Verdasco in the QF.
Djokovic and Federer should cruise all the way to the highly expected clash in the SF.

Federer has a good draw to warm up.No Karlovic early on this time.Martin,Acasuso,Matthieu good players to find some rhythm on this clay

Strongly disagree with you here. Blake and Roddick will be over the moon if they make it as far as facing Federer. Verdasco is one of the few that can trouble Nadal imo which makes it a nice match.

^agreed, i guess i didnt see it that way with blake and roddick

verdasco vs nadal, hopefully wont be 6-1, 6-0, 6-2 like last yr, should be a much better match this time around.

Djokovic on Federer's side of the draw and Nadal with some quality clay courters in his quarter. It will be a interesting Roland Garros this year.

Nice, we get to see who is prince of clay.

Wonder how far will Murray go? Chela, Starace and Montañés can be challenging, then Gonzo. Then whatever comes out of Simon's 1/8th, that should be a non-factor, perhaps Odesnik can repeat his RG success there.

Poor Verdasco can't seem to avoid Nadal, which is hurting his ranking like hell, I think he could make semis if he got on Murray's side, and I think on clay he has a good chance against Djokovic (took him to 3 sets in MC) and Federer.

Gaudio-Stepanek, LMAO, that should be funny to watch.

Nadal should have an easy SF, Murray's 1/4th seems weak, but he will have to work hard to get there: Ferrer, Davy/Wawa, Verdasco.

The only good thing about the draw is that Djokovic is in Fed's half.

Feds quarter is by far the easiest out of top 4. Why I am not surpried at all to see Roddick and Blake there.
Plus injured Monfils, Scheuttler, ...

Djokovic's and Nadal's quarters are quite hard OTOH.
Djokovic has in form Ljubicic, Monaco, DelPotro, plus Lapentti in the first round.
Nadal's quarter is quite hard too with Verdasco, Ferrer, Davydenko, Wawrinka, ...
Murray quarter is second easiest after Federer's. The only decent opponent there is Gonzo.

OTOH Federer again gets Blake and Roddick and quite easy quarter with no opponent to really push him at all.

Re: Roger having to play Blake then Roddick.....LOL.
I wish James and Andy the best, but, Roger will more likely face Haas (from the J-section) and Schwank or Melzer (from the Roddick 16th).

Rog will have Al Martin then probably Chucho, then Ginepri.

You've got to complain about this too? You wanted novak in Fed's half, you got what you wanted, which was a fifty-fifty. Novak's been in Federer's half for a Serena-Slam now. What's the problem? If it was Ferrer instead of Blake, Verdasco instead of Roddick, but Murray instead of Djokovic you would be complaining about the laughable draw fed receives as well. You would complain that Novak never gets a chance at Roland Garros to show who the real clay no. 2 is.

Nadal has interesting matches against probably Ferrer in 4R and then Nando/Wawrinka/Davydenko in QF.

Djokovic can face Ljubicic 3R, then Robredo 4R, then Delpo QF.

Ferrer can get Berdych (or Blake or Haas) in 4R, then Monfils/Roddick in QF.

Murray can get Cilic in 4R and Gonzo/Simon/Safin (we can dream!) in QF.

Wrong. Nadal does. Verdasco and Wawrinka are very tough. But the main thing is not getting Djokovic on his half.

Fully agree.. The quarters don't matter that much I think, especially to Nadal. Can't see Nadal dropping more than 1 set before the final, unless injury.

No matter what, the draw is rigged in Fed's favour right? I'm pretty sure of that now too...

It's a conspiracy!

The probability of Djokovic landing in Nadal's half for three successive years and then in Federer's half the fourth year is 6%! How likely is that? This draw is totally rigged. Shameless...

^^Some people just repeat the same stupidities they read on these boards without even a clue.

I like Joker, and think he has an awesome game, but what is the fascination with this guy, and why so many Nadal fans are afraid of him???

Like I've said so many times, if one would go off of posts by the momos on these boards (Nadal_Freak, Veroniquem) to determine the character of a player>>>>> they would absolutely think Nadal is the biggest walking wussy on the planet.

Nadal's got a tough quarter for sure with Verdasco, Ferrer, Wawrinka and Davydenko, though Davydenko's form hasn't been the best.

I say he gets Ferrer in the R16, Verdasco in the quarters. That match should be interesting.

Rooting for Gonzo to make the semis from Murray's quarter and I think he'll do it.

Djokovic has a fairly tough quarter as well with Del Potro.

Fed's quarter is one of the easiest draws I've seen in a long time. Blake, Roddick, injured Monfils. Given Roddick will probably be more confident on clay than he's ever been on account of pushing Fed hard in Madrid, he could actually make his seed, his section is so ridiculously weak.

I feel sorry for chela. He is coming back from an injury and needs the points to prevent a huge fall in his ranking (which is already pretty bad).

Blake and Roddick in the same quarter AGAIN? Federer got Djokovic at least but...when are these draws going to even out a bit? This is getting a bit comical.

For the men, Fed got a good draw to the Semi's. No way Roddick gets to meet fed, If Roddick makes it to the 3rd round he should consider that a winning situation, same for Blake. Fed vs Novak in the Semi's should be interesting...Assuming they both get that far. Simon vs Murray should be good if it happens, I like Simon and would love to see him do well.

For the women...HAHAHAHAHAHA Serena got a terrible draw. Pennetta in the 4th rd, Kuznetsova who is actually playing like a contender in the quarters and then either Dementieva or Jankovic in the Semi's probably, and maybe a rematch with Dinara in the Final, now is the time Serena...put up or shut up. Venus if she gets to the quarters may actually do well, Vera hasn't had much playing time since her ankle injury, although if Venus makes the semi's or final it will just be another reinforcer of how bad the WTA is at the moment.

Nadal seems a lock for the final if he can navigate Verdasco, for the women...Eyes on the bottom half of the draw, I think thats where the Champion may come from.

For the women. I agree that Serena has a tough draw, and Venus has a joke of a draw. Her quarter is by far the easiest, Mauresmo will probably make the SF there, alrthough not sure in which shape is Zvonareva, but she didn't play for a long time.

The toughest quarter is Safina's since Ivanovic and Azarenka are there. Ivanovic has a really tough draw with Azarenka in the 4th round and Safina in the QF. I think this quarter might give us the new/old champion, with Kuznetsova and Jankovic as contenders from the bottom half.

I agree partially. Serena has an awful draw and Safina's isn't phenominal either. I don't see Ivanovic defending, she is no where near what she was when she steamrolled through last year. Its a shame, she never recaptured her form after injuring her thumb. If she can get a few easy wins in the early rounds to build her confidence she could...but I just don't see it for her.

Venus's draw is a joke, the fates have aligned for her and if she screws this up then well she deserves what she gets. I disagree about Mauresmo though, She is a huge choker at her home major and I highly doubt that trend will change this year. I say whomever gets out of Dinara's quarter will meet either Elena, Jelena, or Serena in the Final, Personally I'd like to see either Vika, Jelena or Elena win, but I'm not gonna pick anyone because I am never right. I like Dinara...but I think she'll do a 2006 Petrova-esque performance and exit early, dunno why, just a feeling.
