Soderling was caught trying to cheat

During a set point favouring Sod, Federer hit the ball close to the baseline line, it was called out by the linesperson, Sod knew it was in and walked away ready to sit down to rest. The umpire came down, ckecked the mark and call it in. Sod smiled. What a cheater, what a bad sportsmanship.

Hello? Shot Spot showed that ball to be actually out. Federer got a big break. Soderling got robbed on that call. The umpire was wrong.

No one likes Soderling. I would prefer Federer triple bagel Nadal anyday, than Soderling play an epic 5 setter against Nadal.

sounds like a sad fed fan, that's all. If Soderling had wiped out the mark before the umpire could check it, that would be bad, but all he did was walk away... Is walking cheating now???

Remember this farce with Soderling deliberately pointing at the wrong mark and the umpire getting the wrong mark too?

I thought the ump overruled and called it in but the point had to be replayed because the line judge called it out too. ACtualy Fed was robbed on that point, that's why he was upset with the following service winner that cost him the set.

That's not true. I don't think the umpire would've corrected the linesperson if he hadn't been 100% sure.
Last time I checked Umpires were people, and guess what, people makes mistakes. The umpire was clearly wrong on this one, fortunately it did not allow Fed to win the match.

You obviously didn't see the Shot Spot (Hawkeye) replay. That ball was CLEARLY out by like 3 inches. It wasn't even close. That's why there was the look of disbelief on Soderling's face. Credit to Soderling for keeping it together and not freaking out and maintaining his focus after that.

On clay it's easy to see the mark when you are near, and Sod didn't complain because he knew he was right.

So after spending your whole time watching the match repeatedly stating Soderling had no chance, that he was a loser, that he'd choke, that he was a clown and all the rest...

...now that he's proved you completely wrong on all counts you're going to try call him a cheater? Pretty pathetic.

Seems like someone upset you.

Hell, you aren't even a Fed fan so I can only presume that you're still upset Soderling beat someone else you like a while back.

How could Federer have been robbed on that point when he hit the ball out? The Shot Spot replay confirmed the ball was 3 inches out. The umpire either looked at the wrong mark or gave Federer a gift.

Hawkeye doesn't work as good as umpire's eye when looking at the mark very closely.

Or he's just a troll. I think that's what it is.

Obviously you need some excuses because your prediction of Soderling having zero chance against Fed was all wrong.

The ball may have indeed been out but shot spot is not part of the game at the FO. It's the ump's call. Ump called it in.

Yes, I understand the umpire overruled the linesperson and called that ball in. But the umpire was proven to be clearly wrong in this case.

If it had been so, Sod would've complained no end, but he smiled instead.
Soderling smiled in disbelief. You know, like he thought it was a joke. He was obviously determined not to allow anything to get him down today and to stay 100% positive all the time. It was smart of him not to bother arguing since umpires never change their calls after checking a mark. It allowed him to maintain focus.

Line called it out. I would have walked to the chair too. I'm not going to say "oh, no, that was in, I lost the point."

Utter bullsh*t

Repulsive and vile forgery from a fraudulent *********

Sod was absolutely spot-on, it was out. Linesperson was right.

And that was not a smile either, disinfo-artist Cassius Clay. It was a menacing grin of a fiercely determined Sod. Like as if he was letting the linesman know that the umpire was nuts to overule him.

And also in general Sod was letting everyone know he wasn't gonna take sh*t today. Sod was like "I'm not gonna give you a break and let you hide behind the sway of the crowd, buster! I'm gonna check and doublecheck and doublecheck and call you out if you dare screw up".

Hey, I'm a Fed fan and I think Soderling was robbed on that call, although I wish it had been in. And maybe Soderling didn't argue because arguing with the umpire makes you look like a jerk and sore loser, not because he "knew it was in" - which it wasn't.

That's just how it is, dude. Had it been Federer, we would have all just accepted it as a lucky break and gone on. Give Soderling his due, will you !
