Solinco Confidential/Vanquish Recommended Tension

Hey guys,

Just bought a reel of Solinco Vanquish to hybrid with my Solinco Confidential in Yonex Ezone 98 Tour and wondering what is a good tension for both. I typically use full bed Solinco Confidential in the range of 47-50 lbs.

It is my first time using a hybrid setup and not sure if I should keep the poly in the recommended tension range of 45-50 lbs.

I do hybrid with Hyper G Soft or Tout Bite and Vanquish

Usually I use 120 gauge for the poly and 130 for the Vanquish with 22kg in mains (poly) and 24kg in crosses (Vanquish), comfortable and controlable power!

Just curious, what racquet do you use? I wonder if that string tension setup would be too powerful for an Ezone 98 Tour.

I use a Tecnifibre TF40 315 16x19

I just picked up a reel of vanquish and was thinking of 46lbs with confidential in 17ga and 16ga vanquish at 49lbs

still waiting on my reel to come in but decided to try 17ga vanquish. The 17ga Felt great and plush but strings snapped after 3 hrs of play. Definitely not trying to string my racket after each match as a recreational player

I played with 17ga confidential @45lbs and 1ga vanquish at 47 lbs and was very happy. Heavy backhands and much deeper forehands now
