Thanks for understanding. Sorry I was chippy. First time I've read one of your posts. But I and other need posts like yours with dry or twisted humor.
Three days of rain locally including today, rain at The French Open, and then one of my best friends doesn't reply to several texts or calls yesterday and this am, I get a phone call and learn that his brother had passed away yesterday. His brothers and I played poker at my place two weeks ago and two of the brothers stayed at my house, including the one who passed away.
Our team had been teasing him all weekend about getting lost on Friday in route to a small town since he doesn't use a gps or smartphone ( the guy is a hippy /vagabond - everything he owns fits in his car).
We were teasing him Sunday night in good clean fun. Little did anyone know his brother died in his sleep sometime Sunday night / Monday am.
My buddy saw him a week ago today and was going back to see him this weekend. He is hurting right now and it sucks knowing he is hurting - it really sucks to lose someone especially unexpectedly and not know what caused the death. Hopefully the autopsy gives him some answers.
Again, my apology to anyone I upset- especially the Canadians.

All you need to do to confirm that the French Open stinks is look at the stands of every match. They are empty. At the other slams, they are full. At Wimbledon, people camp out for tickets. I'm switching between the quarterfinals today and it is shocking that so few are in attendance. If I were the French, that's what would concern me. No other slam seems so lightly attended.
