Then I am on board with that showdown.

Well, first the bad news, two of the demos are strung with the worst poly on earth, Yonex Pro Tour Poly, and this is coming from someone who has used Wilson Enduro Gold happily. And the Yonex looks like it was strung by Michael J. Fox.

The Dunlop Sixgun or however you spell it wasn't offered with poly and came strung with a basic Wilson syngut, which should be fine for me to get a feel.

The Wilson came strung with Revolve, I thought it was a textured string but it was just lots of clamp marks in the middle of the stringbed.

Not gonna lie, I haven't seen a well strung racquet from TW. All the knots are horrendous, there are always crossovers, and mushroomed grommets.

Just general soreness, only needs a little rest. It's been so cold and I mishit a few balls kind of jolted it. Nothing serious.

Gee my whole body hurts from hitting the damn Agassi Rad. How the hell do you hit with that thing lol (granted it's been over three months since I last played, but still)

I used to play with Kevlar and ALU at 70# in my Wilson 90s. Smooth as butter.

It wasn't even the strings man, they were 20 year old multi, it was the fact the frame swung like I was swinging around a freight train lol (and I've hit 360 swingweight frames with no issue!)

My shoulder and lats are a wreck

Lol, should I mention that they were 14.3oz 405sw?

I have that frame. It's amazing. Best feeling frame I own. Has a bit of a head weighted vibe going on with it, but I don't find it that bad.

Racquet up high, drop down into that linear hitting plane and just drive it. I find that the best way to use it. Stay compact.

Not at all my kind of swing, I struggled. And I found the feel horrible myself lol

From hitting with fronton? Wow you guys must be playing hard! I hit with a radical os in December for one hour of groundstroke and movement drills, and I know a less intense version of that pain. The tiredness in the right shoulder from trying to get racquet head speed on high one handers m...... Oh boy I dumped a lot of those in the net.

This is the OS Bumblebee, a twaron frame made in Austria? If so, dude- recalibrate. That racquet feels amazing. I just have some basic poly in it, and it's like melted butter.

Maybe it's beaten up from being flown around so much, or something.

Yup, that. Buzzed like a bumblebee and had me disconnected from the ball worse than an APD. Might have been the age old strings though.

Hit with my Prestige Tour 600 after that. Bliss

I hadn't played in 3 months, so much of it is normal, but the frame really challenged me, bad fit for my game.

Longest rally must have been 6 or 7 shots lol

Mine too. I was ripping forehands with it but could not get the backhand going. For some reason I can't hit backhands with anything but a Yonex frame now LOL. Spoiled brat now!

Opposite for me. Felt super awkward on forehands. Backhands were ok, guess it’s a good fit for two handlers

Do you have the Traveling Radical? If so I measured the specs on the RDC if you are interested! BHBH

I think it was one of frinton's frames. No idea about the specs, but it swung very heavy, plus the grip was way too large for me.

I like the Prestige type frames a lot, but I really could not handle this OS. Got a few more decades to go before I go down that route I hope :D

Well I still play my best with the Wilson AK 90 but I’ve amassed several of the 260’s for when the day comes to fully accept my age!!

I am interested in the specs. I played with a Trysis 260 all fall while recovering from a wrist injury. Found it at Goodwill for $1.75. It just so happens that strung with original grip and overgrip, it weighs one gram more than the TC95 (strung and overgripped) that I picked up from a very esteemed member of this club (after I took off his lead tape at 3 and 9).

I realize others have chimed in, but it is interesting to hear radically (no pun intended) different views on the same stick. When I had it, I loved it. Felt like it was the 90s again: I was 160lbs, had a full head of hair, and could crush forehands above my shoulder.
20min later I handed it to @downs_chris, and after 8-10 shots he handed it back to me and said he couldn't hit with it. It was killing his wrist.

Yes! Ashaway Crossfire II at 72lbs in a Prince Graphite OS! Short angled passing shots off the 2-handed backhand...topspin lobs in my sleep...it was heavenly.

So, J011ly, its 1 week until February: What sticks are on the docket for next month? I have the Volkl V-Sense V1 Pro right now (ordered a few demos for my wife), and I voted for it, so I guess you can remove it from consideration (unless someone else votes for it). I'll throw in a vote for the new Dunlop Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious (aka Dunlop Srixon Revo CV 3.0 F Tour). Sounds like a 97 sq in Pure Drive.

By the votes it's the Phantom 100p and the Ezone 98 so far.

Any feedback on that Grinta you were going to hit with, J?

My cousin had brought both the Vitas and Grintas from his trip to Europe last year. I hit with them both. The Vitas had such a weird head shape. Grinta was still ok. Both were 100 sq inch versions and both were unmistakably tinny and hollow with terrible feel. Nothing like old school Snauwaert my dad talks about. I think its a very similar story line like with current Donnay where owners are just business minded people trying to pedal product using the line's rich heritage.

Was keen on your take whether you liked the stick. Sorry if you already reviewed and I missed it in the previous posts.

Cheers

I didn't get a chance to do the full review. Had a bit of a hectic week.
