Semi-Pro
With all this hype and high TW review, am very interested in trying this stick out. Anyone have one in L4 grip and willing to sell or trade for a Pacific Xforce Pro L4?
I haven't used TB but I have been using Volkl V-Torque. This string has lots of spin and excellent control. I started out looking for more power at 50lbs but as the strings have loosened, it's feeling about right. And for such a low powered string, comfort is excellent although this may be the racquet itself as well. I'd recommend V-Torque if you want spin and durability.
Like others have found, you need to work this racquet with good mechanics to get balls to drop. Flat hits tend to sail long so I find I can't get too lazy...
Hey all!
I'm in the club now! Have bought two used Extreme Pro 2.0's, and may pick up one new one to give me 3 total.
Been stringing 17g tour bite soft at 56lbs, but it seems to be so springy when I play harder hitters. Has anyone tried a similar set up but at 60lbs? Will this help me with the springy feeling yet still give me good spin production?

Thanks phanker. I read through the thread as you suggested and see many people playing tensions in the 40's and low 50's. It would be easier to really know what that means if all would list their level of play as well.
I'm a USTA 4.0 player with some 4.5 hitting partners. Some of these guys can really bomb the ball, and I can bomb it back (while rallying, not so much in matches consistently)
But as previously stated, the 56lbs tension is too springy. How in the world are some using tensions in the 40's and low 50's? Maybe their swings are perfected, or are some just spring boarding the ball back like backboards? How does one play with such low tension? I'm trying to learn here and not trying to sound rude, but it isn't making sense so far. Is there a point that it is strung so low it actually reduces the power, allowing more control?
Thanks so much for the help!!

You need a dead poly in low tension in this frame to tame its power. Yonnex Poly Tour is the best one I've found so far as it's low power but yet easy on the arm.
Trying kevlar/syngut right now also and it's quite nice too. Really tamed its power and love the feel. Still need to tune the tension a bit.
I totally agree with you. The Yonex PTP 18 gauge is beautiful in this racket. Could spin, very comfortable, excellent feel, good pop, and decent control. It plays very well in the low 40s.
I've also found the Solinco Tour Bite 17 gauge or 18 gauge Is also a great choice with this racket if you want something a little crisper. Both the strings are good match for the Head Extreme Pro 2.0. I have also found with a full bit of Poly that the crosses strung 2 pounds to 4 pounds tighter yields excellent good results.
Will have to try out the STBs. How are their durability compared ot the YPTP? Thx.
I have a chance to buy four of these strung in excellent condition for $45 a frame. Should I do it? Racquet drama here I come. Reviewed and loved this stick years ago. Anyone still using this and also anyone compare it to the new model, which I dissed as not popular and got slammed for.
I have been through the entire HEAD line and the better PRINCE Player's Racquets. I have demoed every top rated Players and Tweener racquet reviewed by Tennis Warehouse. I cannot find another stick out there that does so many things so well. Hitting is believing!
I have 3 Head Youtek IG Extreme PRO 2.0 all strung with YONEX POLY TOUR PRO 1.20 and they are fabulous!
I vary the tension on each racquet 3 lbs to adjust for heat and humindity on any given day. It does help.
The mid-tension stick is the one listed in my signature below.
I am looking to string my Extreme Pro 2.0 with new strings - preferably something that is softer for my arm.
I currently am using a Polyfiber Black Venom 16L 1.25 string with tension at 60. After using this string, it seems that I am having problems with Golfer's Elbow. I am a 3.0-3.5 player who loves to hit hard. However, I haven't ever broken anything - neither my racquet, nor my strings. Looking for suggestions for strings which are soft on my arm.
Thanks phankar!!! I did use the same racquet last season with the stock strings and it didn't hurt my arm back then. This time around the elbow pain has been pretty severe. This frame is stiff and high in SW as I recall. Any poly at 60lbs in this frame would be a recipe for elbow shredding.
I recall liking it strung with Yonex PTP 1.20 at 45lbs or so. Nice and plush albeit with a tad too much power due to the low tension.
Its higher static weight and SW can cause golfers' elbow issue on the SW forehand and serves if you're not used to it.

I would shift to Yonex PTP 1.20. However, could you also suggest some multifilament/artificial gut strings which are cheap and good on the arm.
Don't believe there is a 1.0 Moonarse. If you can handle the stiffness and the weight (At 5HL and close to 12oz with over grip and damper you'll find the Head Youtek IG Extreme Pro 2.0 an absolute beast of a racquet.
It’s the “old” rectangular TK82 pallet on this racquet.Does anyone knows if the grip shape is the traditional rectangular prestige one?
