Ronnie still breaking records. I was surprised when I read that was his first free kick goal.

Adios, Espanyol. Wow.

Goldbridge talking about Pogba being the biggest turnaround since The Rock went from bad to good in the WWE world. lol Then he made a comment about Triple H as well. Now hearing ''from reliable sources'' that Pogba is up for it at United. Yeah, feels like United is a wonderful place to be right now.

Still concerned about tonight. It's a good moment, possibly the best since whenever but I'm not in ultra cocky mode yet. United haven't lost away to Villa in the league since the 95/96 opening day 3-1. This led to the famous you can't win anything with kids.

It's nice of the Premier League to schedule Thursday night games for next seasons Europa League sides. Bit of practice!

Yeah,. it does look so tight. You could say that all teams down to tenth have a shot. I wouldn't bet on anything. United better be back on prime time Tuesday and Wednesday next season. All this most enthusiasm in years feeling can't go to waste. We have the league and Europa league to get back in so I'm confident about United right now.

Joking aside, I think Man Utd will be fine, the form they’re in. Chelsea will be fine if they beat Sheffield Utd away at the weekend, 3 points there with so few games left gives them a bit of margin for error against Liverpool and Wolves. If they drop points though, you’d probably say it’s 50/50 with them and Leicester.

Earlier in Juventus' derby win over Torino, Ronaldo finally scored a free kick goal for Juventus. With that he became the first Juventus player to score 25 goals in one Serie A season since 1961. *insert sixpad commercial* ;)

Who would have thought 4-2 would happen after a goalless first half. Great comeback from Milan. 3 goals in 5 minutes. They look much better since football restarted, beating Lazio and Juve in the last few days. Too late for Champions League though as top 4 in Italy are miles ahead. But I hope we will have them back soon.

That data is incredible.
I thought that someone like David Trezeguet would have reached that figure with the "Vechia Signora".
And despite not having a "capocannoniere" during that enormous period of time, Juventus is the lord and master of the Italian Serie A.

About 15 minutes added on there.

Unchanged team for United.

Think it shows that even though there are plenty of goals scored in Italy now, historically, it was very defensive. Most of what I remember about growing up is hearing how good they defended. Maradona won the top scorer with 15 goals in 87/88.

Roy Keane all happy in the studio. Just waiting for David De Gea to mistime a kick and get some half time rage.

The fourth game in a row the team has been unchanged. (y)

Slow start from United. The tough match you would expect against a team fighting relegation. United are looking below par though.

Sluggish Slugworth.

Yeah, you are not going to stop those cool, calm and collected penalties from maestro Bruno. 1-0

Two very good headed chances missed. Villa can't get any time on the ball at the minute.

Pogba with all the time in the world and no mistake. 3-0

Pogba is a stunningly quick learner. Can't block teammate's shot if you take it yourself. First goal of the season, about time.

Martial hits the crossbar.

One of those records that somebody might use here on TTW.

United become the first team in premier league history to win by at least 3 goals for 4 games running.

Pogba looked good today. Rashford and Martial, not so much. Here is hoping they will do better at home against Southampton.

Man United have been awarded a record tying 13 penalties in one Premier League season, just like Leicester in 2015-16 and Crystal Palace in 2004-05. On a better note, first side in Premier League history to win 4 consecutive games by a three goal margin. And recent form is not too bad, 46 goals in the last 16 games...

It’s actually VARchester United. That was unbelievable. They get a pen every single game, it’s unreal. And people can complain “but it was a pen” sure, but every other club has bad decision go against them, and don’t get obvious pens. United gets one every single bloody time and it’s not even a joke anymore. I’m sure at this point they’ve figured out if they just fall in the box with no contact the ref will blow for a pen.

United fans are actually defending it too, like it’s unreal what I’m seeing. That was the worst decision I’ve seen in 12 ****ing years watching this sport. And I’ve lived through RM-Bayern and Chelsea-Barca in the UCL. Has Ed paid them off or something? Christ.

Haven't seen a decision that bad in a while. Good thing the penalty didn't decide the game otherwise it would have been an awful look.

I would be very surprised if they don't make it to Champions League now, whether through finishing top 4 in England or winning Europa League.

I was amused at Peter Schmeichel's tweet. It was the wee angry face smiley that got me. haha

''I am sorry, but that was not a penalty. VAR continues to be a joke.''

We have the draw:

QF1: Manchester City/Real Madrid vs Lyon/Juventus
QF2: RB Leipzig vs Atlético Madrid
QF3: Napoli/Barcelona vs Chelsea/Bayern Munich
QF4: Atalanta vs Paris Saint-Germain

QF1 vs QF3, QF2 vs QF4 is the semifinal draw.

Not expecting anything, Bayern are probably the favorites to go all the way. Should we get through Napoli, we can mostly just hope that they will be rusty as all fixtures in Germany are finished already. Atalanta will hope for the same thing as PSG didn't play at all since the pandemic.

Quite an open tournament looking at the line up alone, but the single match format is going to take that to another level. Seven clubs that are still in the competition have never won the Champions League. One of those will definitely be in the final as one half of the draw has Leipzig, Atlético, PSG and Atalanta.

Europa League draw to be held soon...

QF1: Shakhtar Donetsk/Wolfsburg vs Eintracht Frankfurt/FC Basel
QF2: LASK/Manchester United vs Copenhagen/Istanbul Basaksehir
QF3: Inter Milan/Getafe vs Glasgow Rangers/Bayer Leverkusen
QF4: Olympiacos/Wolverhampton vs Sevilla/Roma

Semifinals:
Winner QF4 v Winner QF2
Winner QF3 v Winner QF1

When was the last time Champions League was more unpredictable than the Europa League? :p Manchester United clear favorites, but some others can make it challenging for them. I imagine they will want payback if they meet Sevilla in the semifinal... Good luck to Ole's boys.

Golden chance for this club. Besides the Covid situation that ended our league earlier , I still cannot see a better situation for PSG to finally win the CL. Atalanta is in great form , winning streak , highest goalscorers of Serie A and they have 7 games left. Truly a strong team , But still i consider this a good draw , PSG has 2 friendlies and 2 cup finals for preparation , I really hope we can pull this. Neutral field , one match.

There will be a club in the final that has never won the CL

At this point I hope Atletico go all the way. Feels like they deserve a title from all of their efforts in the last 6-7 years. But it's pretty open.

Hope United secure top 4 so there is less pressure in the Europa League in August...

They have a style of playing that is not attractive to the common fan of the king of sports.
Making a parallel with tennis, Los Colchoneros are the David Ferrers of football.

Hmmm, maybe getting ahead of myself. I think City will knock out Real; Madrid. That is if the first leg is anything to go by. But ya never know.

Forgot about Bayern for a second. Most times I've seen them they have looked tremendous. Their team is very strong, experience and hot young studs.

Maybe it will be time for PSG. We shall see.

On this day 10 years ago, Soccer City in Johannesburg, South Africa, in the 116th minute of World Cup final, the ball reached Iniesta in the penalty area and he hit it with power of dozens of million Spanish legs...

United can even target 3rd if they keep up their form, Chelsea lose 3-0 to Sheffield. I thought they would drop points in one of the last four games but this caught me by surprise. Definitely gonna watch their match against Liverpool...

Sure their football isn't pretty. But they have had some really good results. Narrowly missed out twice against Real in finals. I think it's really impressive how they remained very relevant at the top for several years. Even though it's been through grinding of the highest order at times...

Sheffield United getting it done.

Didn't see the game, i've had an afternoon of the sublime (Hamilton) to the ridiculous (England collapsing against the West Indies). Sounds like watching Chelsea would of provided more of the latter!

I just saw the player ratings for the game. Christensen and Rudiger both got 1/10? Ouch :-D

Didn't see that happening to Chelsea. Very inconsistent, they played very well against City a few weeks back. Looking forward to their cup match against Manchester United.

Early goal from Vidal secured a 1-0 win away against Valladolid. Another unimpressive performance.

Leo became the first player in La Liga history to score 20 and assist 20 in a season. As plenty have said before, his final years are being terribly wasted. I don't want to imagine what Cruyff would have said about Barcelona these days if he was still with us...

Back to the regular top 4 qualifying for the champions league since City are now back in. United will be in pole position if they win the game in hand tonight. Looking like any result is possible with Chelsea at the minute and Leicester have fallen off a cliff.

The Martial goal. Loved them both but Martial was an extra bit special. Southampton started well and getting the ball off Pogba a lot.

Big credit to AWB for his part in the equaliser.

United being pushed hard today.

Shaw and Williams off injured. Having to finish the game with 10 men.

And there is the equaliser from Southampton. Lethal delivery by Ward-Prowse.

Why was there no 5th sub when Williams left the pitch...

Late goal sucks, but I am confident the guys will achieve their goal.

Let me know when you find out the reason. lol

I was listening to Matt Le Tissier. Think it is the amount of times you use your subs. You get 3 different times and we had already used those 3 times. Or something,.

It hasn't totally brought me back down to earth. An ol 97th minute goal to draw level is a better outcome than nothing but still feels like a defeat. :p

Hard to say who'll get the two spots, I think. Neither Leicester or Chelsea were expected to be top 4 before the season, they've over achieved so far. Having said that, they've been in the top 4 for most of the season.

United were predicted to make the top 4, the best side on paper.. but they've not been there all season.

I think i'd say United are favourites on form, it's just a case of who stinks less than the other with Leicester and Chelsea. I don't think anyone can predict what either side will do with any confidence at the moment.

After a narrow 2-1 away win against Granada, Real Madrid need one win in the last two matches to be crowned Spanish champions. Even two draws would do. As controversial as ever, but credit to them for preparing themselves better during the break, as they have won all nine games since the restart. Barcelona haven't lost but too many uninspiring ugly performances resulted in three draws and here we are sadly...

On another note, Atalanta are seriously flying under the radar. They have been improving for a few years and now they are contending for 2nd place in Italy. They outplayed Juventus in Torino a few days ago and were unlucky to draw 2-2 after Cristiano's two penalties, what a shock there. Managed by Gasperini, the club from Bergamo have completely distanced themselves from the Italian defensive style, scoring at will and never taking foot off the gas, applying high pressure regularly. They will probably become the first team to score 100+ goals in one Serie A season since 1951. Impressive for anyone but given Atalanta's lack of funds and general appeal compared to great clubs, this is one of modern football's best fairytales.

Atalanta are also doing great in Europe, as they are in the Champions League quarterfinals where they will face PSG. If we or Simeone's men can't conquer the continent, I hope they do. And with the new one match format in all rounds, anything is possible. Underestimating them would be a bad idea.
