These are generally the best of the rest after the Big 5 of Federer, Del Potro, Nadal, Murray, and Djokovic. Who is the best and worst of these next 5.

Outside of the majors (slams, in today's parlance), I don't know if Stan is that far ahead of the others, but you can't take away 3 majors, so yes, he's ahead of the others. I've never really known how to rank Berdych, Ferrer and Tsonga who were consistent Top 10 and a little better. Without researching, I'd probably rank this group: Stan (easily), Cilic, Berdych, Ferrer, Tsonga, but those last three are very close.

Stan best
Cilic worst..
Yes I know he has a slam, and ferrer & co. Don't...but still cilic is worst.
He chokes from winning positions all the time, and has combiningly 4 wins against big 3... 3 of them came when fedovic were playing dogsheet/notInForm...
He has capabilities and still lets himself down by wrong strategies....
Goes to grind out with djokodal and tries to play hyper agressive versus federer...

Why is Stan here? He's way above the rest of these guys. And Del Potro and Cilic are probably second tier after that. Del Potro then Cilic.

Of the rest, I'd put Tsonga first then probably Ferrer then Berdych but I could go either way with the last two.

Nah, you can't take Stan's 3 Slams away from him, any more than you could take anyone's Slams away from them, when he also beat the no.1 player in the world in all 3 Slam finals, so yeah Stan's the best of these.

The best? Is this a serious question? How can you compare a 3-time slam champion who defeated all time greats on route to his every slam with a one-slam wonder or barely slam finalists? Stanimal is the best of them and by far.

The worst? It's debatable, I'd probably go with Ferrer who was very consistent but had a lower peak level.

Wawrinka way above the rest of these guys. Even outside of his 3 slams, he still has 1 MS-1000 title and many other 250/500 level titles. While Stan doesn't have a good resume to be considered an ATG, he's way more accomplished than the other players.

Wawrinka
Ferrer: very consistent, but an absolute pushover for big 3.
Berdych: fairly consistent, could actually pose a threat to big 3 in his prime.
Tsonga: very inconsistent, can challenge the big 3 at peak level, but cannot maintain level like Wawrinka can.
Cilic: Doping mug who has taken advantage of a weak era.

The premise of your thread is wrong to begin with. Stan doesn't belong with the others. And only a Delpo fanboy would put him in a Big 5.

I'd add Soderling in the list containing Berdych, Ferrer, Tsonga, Cilic and Delpo.

Ferrer is by far the worst.

Cilic is useless, he got hot for one tournament, hasn't even played half as well before or after.

I seriously see him as the worst player from this group, even worse than Ferrer.

Nah, Cilic is at least upset potential. Ferrer not even close.

How can del Potro be ahead of Wawrinka  He has been unfortunate, I agree. And then same benefit can be extended to Wawrinka that what would have happened if Norman had happened to him early in life.

Also, with three finals, Cilic is way ahead of Ferrer, Tsonga, and Berdych. Likes apart, this can't be a question. Same as Soderling, between 2009FO-2010FO, he accomplished more than anybody else apart from Wawrinka and Cilic.

Between 2009FO-2011Wimbledon
He won Paris 2010 and reached #4 in late 2010, also in his last tournament, he crushed Ferrer and Berdych losing only 5 games in both matches combined.

Stan is better than all of these guys combined, he shouldn’t be in this poll. Cilic is a solid second.

After that it gets tough. Ferrer and Berdych have been much more consistent than Tsonga, but Tsonga has two Masters to their 1 each. Ferrer is even more consistent than Berdych, but he is truly useless against the big 4. Berdych and Tsonga were better (but still not great) against them.

The deciding factor may be total titles. Ferrer has way more than the other two at 27. So I’d rank him first. Tsonga has 16. Berdych, even though he has been way more consistent in the rankings than Tsonga, surprisingly only has 13 titles to his name. So I’m giving him the title of worst.
