What's in your tennis bag? (beyond the basics)

There are a bunch of posts/articles out there on what you should keep in your tennis bag. Most of them list the standard items (grips, racquets, strings, towel, water, etc). I'm curious to see what you keep in your bag that's not obvious and the reason you have it.

I'll start. For example, I put those little shoe deodorizer balls in the shoe compartment of my bag. Shoe Ball Deodorizers

Extra lenses & eye drops, extra socks. And, at all times, some balls that are too old/ worn to be used for match play.

I string my own sticks, so no need for me to carry string. And I don't use overgrips, so no need for those. I do carry extra shoelaces, ankle and knee braces (hey, I'm old), gatorade, tissues and a can of balls. In the colder months the big center section of my bag gets stuffed with whatever outerwear I wear to my club, in the warmer months a Frogg Toggs cooling towel. Besides my regular sticks, I also carry a couple of wooden racquets in case whoever I'm playing wants to try them after we're done, and also to measure the net height if it looks off. If I'm going to a public court, I sometimes think to bring a big crescent wrench to tighten a saggy net.

surely he/she forgot to bring spare underpants.... just in case

also, it'd useless without strings... what is he/she going to do with the portable tennis stringer then... lol 8-B (i know it is probably a joke..)

for the last item on the list, maybe need to suggest some kind of lube... just in case.. :-D

Not a terrible idea if there's a lot of mixed doubles on the schedule...

Many racquets have silicone inside in the handle if you remove the buttcap.

2 racquets
2 ankle braces
A whole bunch of sweatbands (wrist and head)
Overgrips
2 cans of balls
Hat (I've never needed it yet)
Water bottle
Nuun tablets
Rosin powder
Extra rubber bands and grip rings
Shoes (if I'm not going to the courts straight from home and need to be somewhere else first)

That's about it. I use a backpack and not a full racquet bag, so I don't have a lot of stuff.

dont use one, two rackets in a racket cover, with shoes tied to its strap from the laces. Backpack with ice water, balls. because the worst thing is to be a bag guy and get beaten by a cover guy
cover gang ww@ ?

some things no one mentioned yet:
  • a couple dollars and quarters in a used overgrip container. (for vending machine) i usually carry gatorade, but once i forgot and didn't have any small bills. no more...
  • cough drops
  • pen/marker. cause i always draw a line before cutting my overgrip.

yes i agree. coins is useful when there is a vending machine around.
i have a marker pen in the bag, but that was more for marking dots on the balls if the next court uses the same balls and no dividing net..... (saves from asking is that yours or mine.... :-D )

I've been thinking about a marker for just that reason
