Wilson Burn CV vs. Pure Drive 2018

Hi, I have played a few matches outdoor on clay with my Pure Drive 2018.
It gave of course a lot of power, with moderate control and rather low feel. Some matches were excellent, but the last ones were totally the opposite :-(

I am potentially looking for another racket which could replace my Pure Drive 18 and improve control and feel, without sacrificing too much of the PD strengths (especially power, spin and tolerance).
Wilson Burn CV could be a candidate according to TW reviews.

Has anybody of you played both of them and could describe your experience?
And maybe you would see better racket alternatives?

Thanks!

The CV line is noted for its lack of feel and I doubt the Burn 100 CV has substantially less power.

Why don't you try a 1.35 string in the PD at your usual tension in perhaps a feel-oriented string?

The burn 100 CV has a super open 16x19 pattern that, though it gives great spin, power, and forgiveness, eventually leads to control issues as well as possible arm pain with most polys after they die in a few days. Wouldn't reccomend it if you want more control. Has a decently soft feel to it though, at least while strings are fresh.

For what you're looking for, I'd check out the Babolat Pure Aero VS and Pure Strike VS, along with the Head Graphene Touch Radical MP, definitely the Yonex Ezone 98, and the ProKennex Ki Q+ 5 Pro 310.

All these options are similar to a Pure Drive but with a softer, more controlled feel. I would also highly suggest adding touches of lead (say 1 to 2 grams) to most of these frames at 12 o'clock to bring their power up as some can feel light in stock form.

Now get demoing, OP! ;)

After reading some of your posts (also in other threads), it seems that Tecnifibre TFlash 300 could be a 3rd good option.
I never played with it but who else played with Pure Drive and/or Wilson Burn 100 CV and/or Tecnifibre TFlash 300 and can comment on them ?

If you are referring to the tflash 300 PS then that is Tecnifibres "pure drive line". Easy power, spin, and maneuverability. Would be a good one to try for sure. Ive heard good things about the vibration being less than a standard pure drive. Of course it won't be a prince phantom but still a cut above the rest.

Exactly, I am referring to tflash 300 PS. Have you played with both Tflash 300 PS and Pure Drive 2018 ?
Which one did you prefer?
And did you also play with Burn CV ?

Sorry to say i didnt get the pleasure to try it. Keep looking through the reviews though and let's hope others can chime in. I have used the pure drive 2018 and theres a good chance the tecnifibre has more control than it. Pure drives got a pretty open 16x19
