Jankovic is too annoying with those theatrical dives. She really is trying to get as many photos as possible.

Good performance by MJMS. She was a bit off her game today, a bit nervous I suspect, but she had enough to still come through in straights.

This isnt a surprising result. JJ didnt even play well vs Serena. The way Martinez Sanchez was playing this week I fully expected her to win.

Top player my ass. LOL

No one knew or heard of her until just a few minutes ago.

Her win maybe just a fluk:twisted:e.

Let's see if she can back up her results in Madrid. She's facing Stosur pretty early I think, so it's a perfect chance to prove to everyone that she isn't some mug who beat tired Jankovic. I'll be monitoring her closely.

Serena last year made a remark about "seeing MJMS in the locker room" after a match they played last year. That involved a point in which Serena hit a ball that hit MJMS in the body, but that deflected the ball in for a winner and the umpire didn't catch it.

MJMS wins a Tier-I in singles after having a lot of success in doubles. When she's on, her style just infuriates the opponents. She's now in the top 20 and will be seeded for the French.

Actually Stosur is a good doubles player so she has good chances in battles around the net. This could be a really good match.

Oh my, Nadal started a trend. Years from now they will be making the trophies of rubber instead of silver so the players can comfortably chew them.
