Not just the slams. A lot of his year was disappointing. His IW title came out of nowhere if you remember. He couldn't even make the finals of his small February clay tournaments. And then immediately after winning IW, he lost 1st round in Miami. All 3 clay Masters were disappointing before he saved his clay season with a RG final.Too bad he didn't do better in slams, it feels like he should be #3 with all his titles.
Age does not mean as big a deal anymore obviously, so 33/34 is definitely not that old these days. 38 year old Federer and 38 year old Serena still winning slams, and Serena as a 300 pound elephant who doesn't even practice anymore, just shows up and plays slams which are mostly shopping trips with a tennis match every 2 days. Still yes if Thiem is that great he should be able to topple a 33+ year old Nadal at Roland Garros.
Domi won just one point than Stef in that set. So little separating them here.
Dominic taking a leaf out of Djokovic's book - coming through a really tight 1st set and then dropping his concentration right at the beginning of the 2nd.
Bad start here by Thiem. This has the makings of a 3 setter (wish WTF Final was still BO5).
Fed last won a slam at age 36. I don't follow WTA, but Serena hasn't won a major since age 36. So your math is quite a bit off. No man has ever won a major at age 38 in the Open era, not even close.38 year old Federer and 38 year old Serena still winning slams
Do you have the Scottish Twit? I really don't like the Tennis TV regular Scot.Anyone else wish the commentators were better?
Meles, just an hour ago the Greek was Tsisigoat, you said.Tsitscrime looks like he's already bagged this set. Ugh Thiem.
And his match against Thiem this week.Wimbledon final comes to mind.
He heard ya!ComeOn Tsitsi. Bring it now.
Less frustrating than 2nd Setterer who will dominate the opening frame 6-1 before dropping serve to open the 2nd.Dominic taking a leaf out of Djokovic's book - coming through a really tight 1st set and then dropping his concentration right at the beginning of the 2nd.
Yes, most of his titles were minor league (500 and 250, including his 2 home events). WTF would be his 2nd big title of the year.( He looks unbeatable this week. ) But Fed won a single tier 1: Miami and 3 smaller events vs 4 for Thiem. So if Thiem won WTF on top, it feels like he should pass Fed. (They both have 1 slam final on top). Not just the slams. A lot of his year was disappointing. His IW title came out of nowhere if you remember. He couldn't even make the finals of his small February clay tournaments. And then immediately after winning IW, he lost 1st round in Miami. Dammit, Domi just losing focus and Tsitsipas isn't going away. This kid is really going places, I wish I could like him more.

He's a criminal goat capable of stealing sets and matches from nowhere.Meles, just an hour ago the Greek was Tsisigoat, you said.
