I have a feeling Zverev will miss AO 23.
Bone edema is so terrible.
You've already been 4 months. It has already been 4 months
I hope so.I have a feeling Zverev will miss AO 23.

USO 2020? Hell no.USO 20/21 Zverev wins this year’s US Open easily

There are at least two fractions of ABZ: radical ABZ and liberal ABZ. You belong to the latter. On behalf of all of #ABZ I want to distance ourselves from this comment. This doesn't not represent #ABZ in any way. #ABZ wants Z on court, healthy and choking.

He said it's a new injury:That roll did look pretty bad, as did the ensuing shrieks of pain.
However long it takes, let's hope he makes a full recovery, for the sake of the already super depleted field. And I'm saying this as a card carrying #ABZ member.
Wonder when the ATP is going to release their investigation about the two women who accused him of domestic assault and abuse?A reprieve for some of us. Watching him is just awkward.
I think they'll hope it's all forgotten about with his absence and then they can play happy families when he's back.Wonder when the ATP is going to release their investigation about the two women who accused him of domestic assault and abuse?
He said it's a new injury:
Zverev's comeback delayed by new injury, could be out for months
Alexander Zverev's return to the court could be delayed by months after the German said he has suffered a bone edema issue, which forced him to withdraw from the Davis Cup Finals group stage this week.www.reuters.com
I think you're right. What BS from the ATP.I think they'll hope it's all forgotten about with his absence and then they can play happy families when he's back.

and the US open.
In an ideal world Novak plays AO, wins it, then Zverev wins FO, then Novak wins W and then Zverev wins USO, Nole and Sascha as the new Big 2 in Tennis.

The diabetes? As a precaution, tall players like Zverev should always wear ankle braces. Perhaps tennis shoes sponsors don't like it when they do. I was glad to see that Gauff's new endorsed NB tennis shoe has a mid high-top design like McEnroe wore back in the 1980's - a shoe I wish Nike would bring back. I have never heard of bone edema and need to research it but it is not good news especially in view of Zverev's other health issues.
Rafa had a bone edema in 2016. He tore a tendon in his wrist and had to withdraw in the third round of the French Open but then he worked so hard to get ready for the Rio Olympics that he developed a bone edema in his wrist. Same as Zverev - tore tendons then got edema when he pushed too hard trying to come back. Rafa managed to win the doubles with Marc Lopez in Rio but then tried to play a couple more tournaments but did poorly and in October at Shanghai announced he was quitting for the rest of the year to give the edema a chance to heal. Hope Zverev can deal with his injury and have a long career after he recuperates.I have never heard of bone edema and need to research it but it is not good news especially in view of Zverev's other health issues.
The question is: what's worse for a tennis player, wrist injury or ankle injury?Rafa had a bone edema in 2016. Bone edema is so terrible.
3-12 months means, that Zverev will be ready to play no earlier than:
- in 2023 AO (the best case scenario)
- in autumn 2023 tournaments (the worst case scenario), that would mean he is out of 6 consecutive slams (2022 WIM - 2023 USO) and out of ATP Finals in 2022 and 2023
