It has been a nice match between Chelsea and Leicester. No pressure.

Ayew equalized for Swansea in first half stoppage time. City aren't safe yet, but it should really be a formality avoiding defeat...

Tottenham losing at Newcastle and Arsenal winning against Villa, looks like the Gunners will finish above their rivals again. Oh are Spurs going to be trolled. :D

Bomb disposal experts carried out controlled explosion at Old Trafford on what is described as incredibly lifelike explosive device...

Also some chap from Sierra Leone was over for his 1st game, he was devastated. However the supporters club have paid for a change in flights and found him a cup final ticket!

^That's fantastic, them finding him a ticket for the cup final.

Any idea when is this match against Bournemouth going to be played?

Talk of Tuesday night.

Good choice. ;)

Hello.

Lionel Messi is very different from any football player that has ever existed. You may be surprised to know that if Lionel Messi is marking you,you will have absolute no chance in the hell to do your stuff as you maybe awestruck by his attacking genius. The answer lies in obviously his brain and the technique he is gifted with. I have reached to some sort of conclusion about technique that only he and he possess in the history of sports that one day i will like to share with you guys.

Has anyone told Bournemouth it's rescheduled for Tuesday? If they don't turn up, you have a chance..
I wish basketball rules were applied then. There when one team doesn't show up, it's an automatic 20-0 win for the other, which would be just enough in this case. :D

That would have to be the case. With Man Utd this season, they would probably find a way to not manage 19, even with no opposition
Sad, but true. They have barely averaged a goal per game this season. They would have to multiply their usual number by 19 to get through.

All I can say is God help them in the FA Cup final.

I am trying to figure out which player is world class. I saw an article with Alan Shearer, but I didn't read it. He says there is one world class player. Surely he can't be talking about Rooney. hmmm

Answers on a postcard.

Spurs being Spurs. LOVE IT!

I think United will just miss out on a top4 spot, I predict 19-1 to the home team ;)
Glad it was nothing serious btw, but my god just goes to show their incompetence, imagine if it wasnt a fake bomb. Apparently the fans who travelled from the south will get a refund (oh and the Bournemouth fans of course ;)) which will cost United abar 3 million!

As for the england squad nothing interesting as expected Really although it's a bit of a disgrace taking Rushford of all people ahead of the likes of defoe but he probably won't make the final squad anyway so not to bothered.

Intentional mispell of United's academy boy? ;)

There are areas of the squad l like. Alli, Drinkwater and Dier in the deeper midfield positions is exciting, so is Vardy, Kane and Sturridge up top, Hart is good too.

The defence just isn't close to being good enough though, nor do l like the attacking midfield/winger options (although Barkley and Sterling are very good when in form, they're just far too inconsistent).

Mine would be..

Hart
Clyne Smalling Cahill Rose
Drinkwater Alli Dier
Lallana Kane Vardy

Which actually doesn't look too bad (defence aside). That midfield is packed with power, energy and skill from Alli which should allow Clyne and Rose to get forward. Vardy and Kane are too good to have one on the bench imo. Could also play Sturridge/Barkley/Sterling over Lallana if one of them impresses in the warm up games (they're all better than Lallana when they're on form, for me).

Nice one, we pretty much picked the same 11 bar drink water for milner (fair enough but have you seen milner this season? He's been bossing it one of the players of the season for us, has a winning mentality too, certainly more of a captain then Rooney is). Why would you play 433 though? I've been calling for the diamond formation since before the wc2014 and I'm certain it would have worked back then with stevie at the Base and sterling at the tip but of course woy went with a 4231 and a pivot of Gerrard-henderson which was absolutely exposed by Italy and Uruguay. We played quite a few qualifying games with that iirc so maybe he's changed his mind and will go with that, well see.

I mean if you play 433 you basically play Lallana and Vardy out if position, they are not wide players especially Vardy should be partnered up top with kane, that's our two most inform strikers just play two up top, why would you stick one to the wings?! We don't have any natural wingers (well sterling is but I don't think hell start and he shouldnt anyway) so we may as well play a formation that compliments our best players.

Yeah most people seem to be up in the air about who plays next to Dier, the majority have mentioned Milner, Henderson and Wilshere.. l've personally been really impressed with Drinkwater, even yesterday when everyone was playing at 50% he was on a mission to make a statement. l'd also of liked to see Noble in there, but no chance of that now (Delph over him, really!?).

As for the formation, it's essentially a 4-2-3-1 l guess (Vardy, Alli, Lallana with Dier and someone else behind). Kane has to lead, that's what he does best. l think Vardy and Sturridge just off him could work though (Sturridge likes the ball and picks it up wide for Liverpool quite a bit, he was a real handful against Chelsea last week doing that, you never knew where he was). Whilst Vardy is best at the lightening quick counter attacks and poaching in the box (3 genuine goal scorers for opponents to get their head round is never a bad thing!). Rose/Bertrand and Walker/Clyne are all very attacking so width and pace wouldn't be an issue if you went that way.

We're going to leak goals with that defence, we might aswell look to score and give the players some freedom. That's what the cricket team did after the golden era came to an end and it's exciting, the fans love the team again and it's actually been successful. lt's got to be better than another insipid, uninspiring performance that ends in a limp quarter final defeat at best, right?

I hope Spain don't have another catastrophic title defense. The aura the boys have had before the last World Cup is gone.

He and Van Gaal have problems plus Ibrahimovic has already decided where to go. Those click baits are now getting sad.

Yeah good point, even Antonio should have been ahead of Delph. He won't make the final squad though so doesn't really make a difference does it.

Dunno maybe 4231 would work this time, at least won't be a Gerrard hendo pivot, I'm just saying a diamond suits us better, pack the midfield and have the fullbacks as you said for width. Anyway well see.

Not a fan of cricket myself but Im with you there. I'd rather we play some exciting stuff and see how it goes then the usual boring performances, going out on penos after a 0-0 ****eshow in the QF. Either way I think Hodgson will be sacked come August so that's the silver lining I guess ;)

No Costa, Torres, Mata, Cazorla and Herrera in Spain's Euro squad. I have a bad feeling about these Euros...

A diamond could work yeah, as long as there are plenty of numbers in the middle to protect the centre backs and full backs getting forward, things might not get too ugly. Wilshere has no place in there imo, even if he was fit. He can't tackle to save his life (he's more likely to get injured than win the ball anyway).

Yeah the cricket team have been a revelation the last 18 months, they're very young and nowhere near the finished article but they play without fear, express themselves and have fun with it. When they're up against it they go on the full out attack and don't have any fear of losing. This time last year nobody gave us a chance in hell against Australia in The Ashes and they shocked the world to win in such an entertaining way, followed up by beating South Africa (best team in the world), then should of won the World Cup only to fall right at the very end in the final.

As England fans we're used to boring football, players fearful of making mistakes and the press backlash. We can't make that mistake with these youngsters, to have success they have to be free and enjoy playing for England, it can't be a chore anymore. Hodgson would do well to get a few members of the cricket side to speak to the team before the tournament imo.

On one of those rare days when Old Trafford was nowhere near full, Manchester United actually played well.

Rooney was wonderful. He played part in all 3 goals. Scored his 100th EPL goal at Old Trafford, but his run of scoring at least 10 EPL goals ends, at 11 consecutive seasons.

Smalling's injury time own goal denied De Gea the golden glove.

Lets go win at Wembley!

Caught a glimpse of the ManYoo-Bournemouth match. It finally dawned on me what style ManYoo have been trying to play all this while - TIKI TAKA!

Clearly they've failed rather miserably....

my god, I really hate florentino perez. He started this craziness a decade ago, look where we are now. Whoever pay that amount of money for Lukaku or Higuain is stupid.

It's insane. Everton wanted £40 Million for Stones and now they think Lukaku is worth £65 Million?

Funny, I doubt they would of looked too kindly on being quoted £50 Million for Aaron Lennon when they got him.. Seems they think it's one rule for them and something totally different for everyone else.

Had the worst nightmare - we lost 1-0. 4 minutes of added time, ref blowed the whistle in the 97th minute while we were counter attacking 5 v 3 or something. Klopp stormed the pitch.

**** that ****e. Got the day off tomorrow. Please lads just win, any win will do. Please.

I didn't realize how small time Liverpool were until this Europa League run. Even Fulham didn't get this excited. :D

Then again, that is my fault for treating Liverpool with too much respect, they haven't won a title in near 30 years and just one trophy in 10. They aren't one of the big boys.
