I am calling this already.
Should be one of the matches of the tournament.

Hahahahaha the way people root for Rafa to lose is funny. When he loses, people immediately look to the next guy who can take him out.

It's like a mob boss escaping a hit on a tv show, the people targeting him think "ok, we can get him next week when goes here"

They are probably afraid of the outside chance he could play Fed in the final and topspin him to death.

It's gonna be a good one. Nadal is playing well, despite some small lapses against Monfils (third set in particular and the first part of fourth), his confidence seems to be there and the Zverev match confirmed that. In 2015-2016, he used to lose such matches (Fognini, Verdasco, Pouille). His slice serve looks solid and he is trying to be aggressive.

Miloš is in a great form. He beat Rafa in Brisbane after losing the first set and that's a huge thing, he isn't afraid of him. He was clutch in crucial moments and, like Zverev, had success by attacking Rafa's forehand relentlessly and his serve will trouble Nadal a lot because of his five meters behind the baseline returning position, unless Nadal changes something drastically.

I expect a brutal battle.

This is very tough to call.

Milos is simply not afraid of the big names anymore, and he has become more clutch as time goes on. He showed that in the first set tiebreaker against Agut.

It's not going to be a pushover for either of them.

Still think Milos is in better form, but give Nadal the edge because of experience. 60% nadal, 40% Milos.

Raonic will like his chances in this one. It's probably time for him to beat Rafa at a slam, too. I think he's ready. If Nadal had gone through the Monfils match in consistent form I would've favoured him, but those last 2 sets weren't good at all. So with that said,

Raonic in 4.
I tend to agree with this.
What I didn't like about Raonic against RBA is that he had huge lapses and was fairly inconsistant before the 4th set.

The start was stellar, but much like Nishikori he suffered a meltdown after failing to get and extra break and needed a TB to put the set away.

But he won it didn't he ? That's the thing. He has become a clutch player. He will battle till the last point.

Tbh, I haven't seen any of Raonic's matches in full, or much at all really, but I think younger guys like Raonic can recover from lost sets quicker than 30 year olds. And maybe being slightly tested will actually help Raonic. That's what I think. Sometimes it's better to win a couple 4 setters than it is to breeze through.

I have no doubt that he will fight, however he has to win the match because it is a very good chance for him to actually win the whole thing and inconsistant play is gonna doom him, even if he produces a few clutch moments.
Serve big, consistant pressure. Nadal might become passive in this case and their it goes his chance
