Yes, maybe it's the 2016 version I have. No red paint on it. Dark brown, black, white and orange.Isn't that the youtek version? Thought 2017 had red paint
The 16x20 stringpatterned older Yonex versions are still available on the secondhand marketMe too, I love the current cosmetic and would definitely be open to trying a tigher pattern.

Looking for a good cross to use in a hybrid with the 97 330 model and vs touch 16 gut in the main. Please reply with tensions of each you liked as well. Thanks
I always feel that way with Yonex framesAnyone here that also has the feeling the vcore pro 97 is a longer frame? I love the frame but I sometimes have the feeling I take the ball too close to my body with this frame, never had that with other frames.
I didn’t have this feeling with the DR98 or Vcore 95I always feel that way with Yonex frames
Some do, some don't I guess. I especially notice on the VCore Tour line.I didn’t have this feeling with the DR98 or Vcore 95

@Power Player Great to hear you're on board the VCore Pro train. IHMO it's an underappreciated players frame, does everything really well while being stable and vibration free. Have been using the 330 as my main frame since it came out.
Still haven't settle on a string over here, but will say, this racquet is the ONE - at least for me. Think I might by 6 of em just to have a stash. Currently running Luxilon ALU at 56lbs, still a bit to springy for me. I think I might like just really really really dead low low low powered strings. Any thoughts on what that might be?
Control is awesome. Launch angle is fine. I switched from a modded Ultra Tour. Uber control and 18/20 pattern. The vcp 97 310 is equal or better in every way. This frame is just ridiculously good. Goat frame for me.Hey guys, the Tour G 310 was my main racquet for a while, I liked all about it except its heavy throat. I know the Duel G and the current V Pro solve this issue, but despite that, I'm interested in two things: control and launch angle. How is it in the current model?
If new models are coming, and even in a more closed pattern, maybe I should wait.

Having spent 2 years with the Ultra Tour as my main stick, I agree!Control is excellent, it does not feel like an 16x19 pattern at all. The same goes for launch angle, it is not as low as in the ultra tour, but i find it really good and again, is not like any other 16x19...
Demo it and see what you think. I wasn’t expecting to like it given the string pattern and the rest of the specs. The way it played the first time out just blew my mind.Wow, now I'm seriously considering buying one!
Also in case you’re wondering what level I play at which is important when you read reviews, I don’t play usta but all of my friends, many who have played usta, tell me I’m between a good 4.0 - weaker 4.5.Wow, now I'm seriously considering buying one!
The demo program here is not so good, is like, oh, you think you like that racquet? Cool, buy it!Demo it and see what you think. I wasn’t expecting to like it given the string pattern and the rest of the specs. The way it played the first time out just blew my mind.
The main reason this racquet popped in my head was I remembered myself playing so good with the Tour G at the point that even my coach said me that that was the racquet for me. I think it was one of the best for my drive, I could generate a lot of HRS without sacrificing control. Simply amazing. Plus, the racquet has plenty of room to add leather grip and lead if needed. Tempting...To add, I didn’t think the lower SW and weight would suit my game, but it plays so solid at that weight that power has not been an issue so far. I should be logging another couple hours with it tonight so I can keep adding impressions.
Also, if you look at the vibration charts, the 330 has a higher number than the 310. That simply means that the 310 has a bit of a softer feel to it as well, which I personally appreciate.
I'm fine with that, I think we have the same level. Also in case you’re wondering what level I play at which is important when you read reviews, I don’t play usta but all of my friends, many who have played usta, tell me I’m between a good 4.0 - weaker 4.5.
Cool. I find that impressions and opinions from those who have similar strokes as mine and play at a similar level seem to be more in line with mine.I'm fine with that, I think we have the same level.

Didn't like it? No problem, sell it!
Now, seriously, I think I'll put my V Core 98 at sell to try the Pro.
Wow, now I'm seriously considering buying one!
You know how funnier it gets with an inflation of more than 50 per cent per year? [emoji854]I suffer with the same problem in my country, no demo program at all. What i do is buy an used, cheap racquet to demo and then buy new ones if a like it.
IMHO the vcp97 is a far better racket than the rdis200.Had one of those nights where I was tired and sore and moving like I was 70 years old. Took me a while to get anything going out there. Kind of cool because I saw certain things I did when fatigued and was able to fix them. One is try to hit flatter than needed. That’s not going to work with the 310. It really encourages a low to high swing path, which is how should I hit anyway. So when the ball was hitting the net, I knew I had to make changes and drop the frame more. Main thing I love with this frame is it accentuates my spin and I can still shape the ball in a linear manner. So low to high, heavy and deep shots are really not that tough to just fire off over and over. I was able to get in a groove and go i/o 3-4x until the opponent was almost in the doubles alley and then fire one down the line for an easy winner.
Hit with a pro for a while who had a mega forehand. Just picturesque how nicely he dropped the frame and ripped the ball. Big dude too with a lot of power. He was being cool and sending me easy stuff for a while but I kept on the gas and he could not time my spin well. So he finally started sending me the real heat and it was awesome to trade blows with this guy. Main thing I can say is I never felt pushed around. He told me after I had really great spin on my FH.
So I can safely say if you are playing at 4.0 or 4.5 level you can really take away the timing of your opponent and play a heavy spin game with this racquet if that is your style. In some ways this reminds me slightly of the Rdis 200, which was my first Yonex frame. It had a really great soft feel but the pattern was more open and you couldn’t hit through the ball like you can with the 310. It also looked terrible, but I didn’t care and bought 4 of them because they were a complete steal. Not sure if any of you all ever used this one? It had a ultra buttery feel to it.
Caveat, this is my first string job so the grommets always need to settle in. It came off the stringer at 45#s but now its down to 34#s. I am still able to play with it at this tension but I’m flirting with the line a lot. I think I will string it next time at 48/46 and I am anticipating a drop to around 40#s, which is fine.
I guess it isn’t a fair comparison cuz I am a much better player now than I was back then. Even if you handed me a vcp back then I probably wouldn’t have appreciated it. That’s the truth.I love the 310, but I am not sure I’d say it is far better, but it IS better for me. The Rdis series I believe was replaced by the Vcore so it makes sense that the heritage is still there. The thing about the RDIS 200 was it was one of the first frames where Yonex started catering more to topspin players who like the sweet spot a little higher in the bed, and thats why they got one to Verdasco for a while.
In many ways the 200 kind of shaped what we have now in the 310 - which is a softer control frame made for the modern baseliner. I think with the 310 they found the perfect combo of feel/weight/string pattern.
When you say this racquet isn't for flat shots I thought you were going to say that the balls were sailing long, but quite the opposite haha. I also tend to play flatter when I'm tired, but let me ask you a question, if you do want to hit flat, does it work?Had one of those nights where I was tired and sore and moving like I was 70 years old. Interesting, I found it to be a great stick for when I was lazy. For me vcp 330 is one of the best racquets for hitting flat with. It's got really nice mass to drive the ball but with the thinner beam I found it came through the zone really fast compared to my rf97 i was using at the time. I found it great for topspin because I found that I could really whip through the ball but that's just me
I played with poly tour spin (the blue string)because it came with it for free and loved it. Quite a firm and crisp feeling string, you can really feel the snapback.
I've started using alu rough and love it. would love to try it in that frame
Control is a standout feature for me, and I string at 45#s.
