I know, but like I said it's a process which might pay dividend. We saw a little bit incremental crowd in Wuhan and Beijing if we compare year on year and this year we didn't even have Wang Qiang on SF.
Europe is declining. French Open crowd worsen year after year.
Weekdays crowd is tragic, I love Shenzhen but really this might also taken into account of what's happening in Hong kong at the moment.
I would not going into Hong Kong for holiday at this time.
The ATP Tour Finals had great crowds in London. That said, I think the ATP are generally better at promoting their tour compared to the WTA. The latter whilst really pushing Gauff, and to a point Andreescu, focus heavily on Serena Williams who plays part time, and, again to a point, Sharapova. They rarely promote Halep, one of the few that actually puts bums on seats.
The ATP admittedly has more marquee names with a global presence. And they also promote heavily the more controversial players such as Kyrigios. Also their social media/websites/streaming etc appear more user friendly. But they are in a better position whilst they have more star power.
It will be interesting to see how this changes once the top male and female stars of the game retire.
