Djokovic had it the toughest on grass

Wimbledon 2014-15 matched up against:

Radek, Simon, Dimitrov, Anderson, Gasquet, Grandaderer.

Nadal:

Only had to match up against Soderling a few times, Murray a few times, Berdych a few times, a couple of decent grass courters in the early rounds....

Oh yeah, and there was this guy named Dodger Frederick, or something at his prime/peak in the finals three times in a row.

Nole also defeated peak Nadal at Wimbledon 2018, something Federer failed to ever do.

Gonna defend Djokovic a little since this thread is a bit harsh.

2012-2013 Murray on grass > 2010-2011 Murray on grass tbh so that part works in favour of Djokovic.

Losses to #100+ ranked players at Wimbledon:

Nadal 4
Djokovic 0
There should be some law established in the International crime tribunal, for anyone who is putting Nadal and Djokovic in the same sentence regarding their grass skills, prowess and achievements, really. ;)

Djokovic faced Nadal 3 times and faced Federer 6 times at US Open . Total - 9 times

Nadal faced Djokovic 3 times and faced Federer 0 times at US Open - Total - 3 times

3> 9

At US Open , The Nadal faced toughest competition.
Nadal >> Federer > Djokovic ( H2H 2-1  )

It's completely the opposite. There's no great grass court player and Federer was well past his prime.

Djokovic is an opportunist.

Lol. Back ready to rumble I see. You can't let this one go. 2011-2016 is a tougher grass era than 2006-2010. I'm not really sure how you think the opposite.

Well tell me, do you think Nadal's draws from 2006-2010 were tougher than Djokovic's from 2011-2015?
Yeah, even if Nadal had to play Laslo Djere until the SF, he’d still have it tougher because of Peak/Prime Fed at Wimbledon 3 times in a row.

A couple of notorious chokers along with Simon and Gasquet and suddenly Djokovic has the toughest draw? Lmao you are living on fkn Mars. Get your head out of your ass....or in this case, Novak’s ass.

Rate out of 10

Nadal 07/08 final
Federer 07/08 final
Federer 14/15 final
Djokovic 14/15 final

The final opponents in 2007 and 2008 are def better than any of the opponents in 2011-2016. I personally rate singular excellent opponents higher than multiple good-but-not-excellent opponents.

Djokovic had a less difficult challenge with Federer than Nadal did for obvious age reasons. Comparing the rest of the field though, there is hardly anything that sticks out really. Some dangerous floaters will always be there, and Djokovic has a better toolkit for this surface, which shows in how often he went far at Wimbledon, and won it as well. Nadal is not in that league, despite some occasional great performances of his own.

So it only takes one really tough match out of your draw of 7 matches to make a draw tougher, whereas another player playing multiple tough matches isn't tougher because he didn't play peak Federer but a lesser version of Federer in the final? It doesn't work like that.

No one even mentioned Gasquet. He played mutiple players tougher than Gasquet. You need to calm down and watch your language, and debating about a tennis tournament should not be that deep.

When you make clown arguments like that, it warrants that.

Who did Djokovic play? A couple of notorious chokers and a few pigeons? Get real.
Bery bery tough.

I'm sorry but going through a sequence of Tsonga, Cilic, Dimitrov and Federer in the final is tougher than playing a lesser draw and playing Federer in the 2008 final. The reason is, playing many tough opponents wear you down where you are less sharp for the last match. I can think of more than one Slam where this worked against Djokovic and he wasn't as great in the final as he was throughout the tournament, and ended up losing.
