Too much of a hypocrite to admit he is. "I am not calling for Ole to be sacked, I want him to do well, but if Liverpool beat us, he needs to go."Goldbridge seemed disappointed they won lmao. He’s fully on the Ole out train out of nowhere.
I am of the opinion that the 2nd half was 100% the players. Ronnie rallied them in the break and they went for it.Goldbridge and his minions are starting to get worried. A lot of them are now hardcore Ole out people. They end up keep going back to the same thing. If Sancho isn't getting games then why did we bother signing him instead of a midfield player? Again, just think that comes down to Ole being happy with midfield. If we could show that sort of second half intensity from tonight and all that good stuff as a regular thing then I wouldn't complain. (Tighten the defense up so I wouldn't complain as much.)
Even though I'm not keen on McTominay or Fred. I think they've been made scapegoats due to our overall standard. Sometimes I'm wondering if another centre midfield player would make much difference.
Goldbridge was comparing Sancho and Grealish earlier. Another one of his praise Pep moments. Not comparing their game, just how big money was spent on both. Grealish is playing every game and settling down, while Sancho is in and out. ''Pep looks after his players, makes them feel part of the family.''
lol
I almost went to a Vitesse game once. It was nearly 25 years ago..Spurs have just lost to Vitesse Arnheim in the Conference League group stages.
The great managers picking up more unwanted records. I see that is the first time a Mourinho team has conceded 6 in 1 match. 6-1, yeah.Mourinho 1 - 6 Bodø Glimt
Mr. Page will be busy guiding Wales to victory at the World Cup.United need to bin Solskjaer and
If off the table, I'm sure Rob Page will be happy to step in.
Maguire and Shaw played like they had a few before the game, running into each other. Then you're leaving the hottest player in the world free. Salah isn't going to miss. Be here all day talking the match.
Definitely felt like one of the most humbling single results ever. I had to look back at some results, can remember most of them. The 5-0 by Newcastle with that sexy Albert (Murray) lob over Schmeichel. United were the best then so it didn't matter as much.
Have to all Goldbridge again. He was talking about Chelsea firing Frank Lampard. A bigger legend at Chelsea and all, you could see what he was trying to do. They got Tuchel in. Of course, it is a different situation here. Roman likes football and wants Chelsea to be as successful as they can. It's all about making a certain bottom line at United and not falling outside the top 4.
Wouldn't be all Ole out if it was a one-off. You could see it coming, we've gone backwards from last season when we received a bit of luck to due to other team's misfortunes. I'm not screaming Ole out. But, when it happens, it happens. Did feel sorry for him during the post match interview.
Errors leading to shots 8. Rock Bottom.
Clean sheets 1. 18th
foals conceded 15. 18th.
Nowadays I just look at what Romano says. He'll know if Conte is in before Conte himself does.ESPN reporting Ole may be on the way out. Conte in. Thoughts?
I listened to Barbie on the United Stand this morning. She was raving about the Ajax manager. Clickbait title asking - is Ole hours from sack? Sexy Romano was on the show. Yeah, I'd take Conte because he's a proven winner and hasn't started going downhill. Might not stay for long but you wouldn't fancy him to do worse than Ole.ESPN reporting Ole may be on the way out. Conte in. Thoughts?
time to regurgitate my conviction that managers aren't nearly as important as they are made out to be.
any one of the star managers have usually had great and disappointing seasons with various clubs, depending largely on the quality and health of the team and the resources they have available. Same manager, yet very different results. It'd be an exaggeration to say they are glorified mascots, but it's not that far off.
(Yes, I will make up any rationalization to keep Ole at the wheel.)
Does it make statistical sense to sack a football manager?
As the English Premier League kicks off again, the top three clubs have new managers. But, statistically speaking, do managers really make a difference to a team's performance?www.bbc.com
I do think that his days are numbers, and that Man U need to make some changes to live up their ambitions. That may include switching managers, but probably a lot more than that also.
Pity Roy Keane wasn't in the Sky studio for the United massacre he would have ripped them apart.
Pity Roy Keane wasn't in the Sky studio for the United massacre he would have ripped them apart.
Or Roy Keane in the studio with Roy Keane.I had the same thought Defoe is a bit of a lightweight. Keane in the studio with Micah Richards winding him up would‘be been great.
We got this from him later.
"I don't fall for this carry on that there is going to be a brilliant reaction from these players," said Keane on Sky Sports. "These are the same players that threw Mourinho under the bus and they will do exactly the same to Ole.
Leopards do not change their spots. There are too many bluffers at this club to get United back to the very top.''
I agree. Solksjaer is deservedly getting stick, but Gary Neville saying United have a squad that’s as good as Liverpool, City and Chelsea is way off. A good manager and they’ll be capable of winning the Champions League and Premier League? No chance.
Liverpool and City were so far ahead that it was always going to take something special to close the gap. Chelsea have done amazingly well for the last year, but even now they’re probably still slightly behind those two. Signing an old Ronaldo and Sancho and thinking that will close the gap? It’s madness. Fernandes is the only United player who could get into the Liverpool, City, Chelsea team imo.
I read someone making an argument that while basketball is a 'strong link' game, football is a 'weak link' game.
In basketball, the strong link (e.g. a Lebron James) can carry a team and dominate a game almost by himself, because there are few players and you can carry the ball all over the court.
In football, matches are mostly determined by which team has the fewer weak links, the ones who make critical errors. Even a Messi cannot carry a shlte Argentina all by himself, as we have seen. Depth and consistency wins.
United has a lot of strong links, I would say. Some very talented players there, at least if motivated (hum hum). But it seems they have too many weak links as well in crucial areas. And a lack of an overarching philosophy to the team-building maybe. Too haphazard.
