Deng, you are one over the top fan. Such non sense is TW worthy but please stop it, you're killing me

I know :). My friends and bf tell me the same! I think too much about what is up with Rafa. It is killing me that he has just gone like this! It's too much for me. I have to find reasons for it.

Beast of Mallorca I hope that my posts make you laugh a bit too! :). I just miss Rafa really! It has been too long! All the Fed, Mur and Djok fans are lucky as their guys are still playing right now.

Are you the little sister of Clarky ? Both of you have that crazy vibe,,,, :)
Mind you, it is a compliment because I think you're younger and less crazy ,lol

We are NOT the same person. Ms Nadal is trolling the mess out of this place with another one of their multiple accounts. They're probably a ******* in disguise.

Yes, I am the biggest Roger fan! I love him to pieces! Let's just discuss thread now. Now that I have confessed, let's stop all the dissing posts.

I think you'll be happier and fit in more on the Roger Federer Golden Eagle thread. There are many likeminded individuals there for you to talk to. Lol.

I hate it as well. I don't think we can consider it as support for bullfights, but I do think it's there because of some cultural influence including bullfights. Who knows if that even comes into his mind.

Yes. I do not think at all that he's bothered by them, there's good reason to be sure of that, sadly. Now, that doesn't mean he supports them. He could be indifferent, not have given it any thought, consider them just a "Spanish thing". I find it hard to believe he would actually support them... I won't think he does without actual proof. He's young, he could well come around.

I would like to see a journalist ask him about it though. I'd like to see his reaction and see what he'd say. I saw a part of his CNN interview the other day, and I was surprised by how much he said about the issue (very conflictive as well) of Cataluña's independence. I had expected he would just side step around the issue and not really say anything.

I also tend to think that he's pretty indifferent to bullfights.
If a journalist asks him about it, I'm 100 % sure that he will say "I don't discuss this subject". What he said about Cataluña was pure common sense and couldn't have bothered anyone. It would be different with bullfights. Whatever he would say would attract him enemies. Rafa is generally very consensual and diplomatic in interviews, but when he a subject is close to his heart, he won't shut his mouth even if many people don't want to hear it (we've seen it many times), but in this specific case of bullfights, it's just an extremely sensible subject. Plus I'm sure that he couldn't care less about bulls suffering.

I really hope that's not true. I know Nadal doesn't like animals, but condoning the abuse and cruelty of an animal for sport is horrific, and I would hope he would be totally against it.

He was polite and diplomatic, but he did say what he thinks, he said he's always seen Cataluña as a part of Spain, which is saying he isn't in favour of its independence. It's saying quite a lot I think.

I sure hope that is not the case. When I say indifferent, I just mean he probably hasn't given the issue any thought. Most people never do.

I think he could be a Fed fan, trying to make fun of female Rafa fans.

Strange bunch of people in here. I hardly post about FedEx. Don't care about him. I said I like him to please you all, think what you all want!. I adore Rafa but I can criticise him at times when I feel it is due. Since I have done that it is perceived I don't like him. What a dumb outlook. I am not a blind fan who supports and likes everything Rafa does. I am not that kind of person. He disappoints me at times and I air those thoughts. I don't see how that is a problem. At least when he says or does something I don't like or agree with I don't say that I will no longer be a fan of his like some have said on him if he does like Corrida! If he does so what! I will still love him. What kind of fans are they? If Rafa doesn't sing their tune they will stop being a fan! How daft! Who would be so sick to pretend they like a player? Not me for sure! Anyway I can't convince you guys. Pity us Rafa fans can't be as one as this place is Fed's paradise. I know I love Rafa and that is all that counts. I have lots of his stuff etc and I am really unhappy that he isn't around and it makes me angry at times and I just blow. Anyway, I am done with this, really. I think we should discuss the threads and stop questioning me!!. I love Rafa but you guys are too dumb to see it. Your loss.!

Let's just discuss the questions in threads and stop talking about motives of posters which I think is so stupid!. We are all tennis fans at the end of the day!. Let's just enjoy the sport and discussions. I don't come in here for arguments. I am not that kind of person.

Ms Nadal is definitely Clarky in disguise. Clarky knew he'd have to tweak his style just enough to not be obvious, so he did, but the common denominators are still there.

No, it's not saying much for me. That statement wouldn't offend anyone. He's not catalan, so nobody excepts him to be an independentist. He said he was not in favour of its independence, but he was not virulent. So, no risk at all, nothing controversial. Regarding bullfights, whatever he would say, even with diplomacy, would be seen as outrageous.

Wrong,Bullzilla. I have one account and one account only on here unlike you,who has dozens. Not everybody is as pathetic as you are to troll a tennis forum with their multiple personalities.

Has anyone heard anything about Nadal going to Barcelona on Wednesday to discuss having surgery on his knee? How disasterous this will be for him if that's true. And considering he and his buffoonish team have wasted the past 5 months,he may as well just retire and be done with it,as this is a huge setback that he will not recover from.

You already know Benito denied this. And there's nothing in the Spanish press.
I doubt the Italians could have access to more information.

Benito also said he was going to sue everyone who criticized Rafa. I don't put much stock in anything he has to say.

Tears in the tendon could be tendinosis, in which case surgery is an option.

Carsomyr

He said that because he was angry. Of course no one was expecting him to sue people from facebook or tennis forums.

This is Nadal's publicist. Saying things on Rafa's behalf because HE's angry is extremely unprofessional. Regardless of his rationale and intent, it was a stupid thing to say and makes him lose credibility.

I do hope Benito is telling the truth. He does say the guy who wrote that article is a good journalist and friend. It would be awful to have to have surgey now, all this time would have been wasted... :-?

I suspect some people could be offended. Plus, he's not Catalan but pretty close I'd think.

Would saying some polite comment against bullfights be seen as outrageous? (not that I think he would...). I'm not so sure. There's no one from Spain here?. I think there was someone...

Pretty close, but not the same. The second subject is more delicate IMO. But let's stop talking about that.

I really hope it's not true. I thought that the surgery option had been ruled out.

Russian Tennis Federation are after Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal for the Kremlin Cup in 2013. The two are the biggest stars in men's tennis at the moment.

Former French Open champion Yevgeny Kafelnikov who is close to the Kremlin Cup organizers said that seven-figure sums were being offered to the two, to play at the event in 2013.
....
Interesting. Thanks for posting.

Interesting. I wonder why they think Djokovic and Nadal (who's been off the tour for the last half of the year) are bigger stars than Federer, the perennial darling of the tennis scene?

They forgot to add, "they could put their hands on".

Federer probably turned their offer down.

Not everybody wants to play everywhere just for the money.

I hope Rafa turns this Kremlin cup down! He needs to watch his schedule, I hope this lay off teaches him that. Rafa should just play the minumum number of tourneys.

They must have offered it to Federer, there is no way they didn't. Even though he has declined quite a bit, people want to see him play live before he retires. He would definitely be the hottest ticket. Don't forget he is going to South America at the end of this year. He can't go everywhere and do everything especially at his age.

You could easily post this crap in the insanely neglected "Federer News Thread". Off you go.....
