Did anyone else notice the injection of pace murray put in to hit that forehand and save the first break point? Just a small glipse that murray can switch it on when he needs to

Federer played retired journeyman children while Djokovic had to battle Olympic gold medalists and Wimbledon finalists all the time - is that fair?

what a draw its like playing a challengers for murraaa , hope feddy kicks him out otherwise it wont be fair!!! who let this mug chardy into quarters

This guy beat delpo?

Also i love SNV, i reckon with a good serve and a half decent volley, you could push players like nadal, murray and djokovic who rely on baseline rallies (novak especially) out.

Tim henman where are you? XD

So, impressed with Chardy's forehand, but also impressed that Murray has weathered the infrequent storms, and will probably take this in this third set

Trivia: after Perry, Murray is the Brit that have won the most matches in Grand slams. At age 25 he has surpassed Tim Henman.

You guys complaining about Delpo not being in this match should watch a reply of his match against Chardy. Only one player deserved to win that one and he did.

Well sure Chardy deserved to win it, but that's only because the real Delpo (who I've been waiting on for a few years the little bugger) didn't show up

C'mon, give the Old cry Baby a break. He deserves a cupcake of a draw !

The rogerlina sailed through weak era cupcake draws on peds for years. Is it not time for a change? Nadal ousted, Djokovic has to fight though top Olympic and Wimbledon players, Murray had to come through Berankis. Federlina gets another card into slam SF for no good reason.

I love how murray just handles chardy's big forehands coz he's clearly desperate to get back into it and murray is just taunting him and putting tons of top spin looping balls back to him to negate it.

This is why is murray is in the top 4.

You're either very sleep deprived or you're having one big laugh.

Silly murray, wanted to end it too quickly and didnt put the effort in on that last service game.

I was all prepared to post a status how he lost just 6 games to the guy who beat del potro... Oh well, 8 then? maybe 7?

Murray is really under the radar in this tournament. To an extent, it's beneficial that Murray hasn't had too many matches on RLA primetime. The media aren't really focused on him. He's just...there, winning his matches and doing his job.

If I were a tennis player, I'd prefer to be in the shadows than the spotlight.

Better performance from Andy today, comfortably beating the guy who beat Del Potro and who beat him the last time they met. I thought it would have been closer than it turned out.

A rap on the knuckles for letting his double break go in the 1st and 3rd sets (especially when he was serving for the match) and a slight concern over why his famous cross-court backhand has been mostly misfiring all through the tournament. But all in all, looking good going into the semis.

Hope he can step it up further when he meets Roger. I'm sure he'd much rather face Jo-Willy but we all know it's going to be Roger (sorry Jo-Willy fans)!

Easy win, as expected.

I think Andy will beat either Tsonga or Federer in the SF to be honest. It'll be 50/50 whether he beats Djokovic in the final, but Andy has a good chance to take the title I think - Novak hasn't been in his very best form.
