For the record, I didn't accuse Clarky21 of multiple accounts. I believe she has only one account.

I just laughed out loud at a hilarious and WORRYING thought. Imagine if Clarky21 DID have and used many alternate accounts, all as deeply cynical and negative as the other! Like a cascade of cutting negativity, responses ricocheting around the forum in thorough agreement about how terrible Nadal is and how indestructible Nole is. It would be insufferable.

Novak has a 50/50 chance of stopping a fully fit Nadal.
The other 126 guys have a 0/100 chance :)

The key is whether Nadal remains fully fit after 5 matches.

Why do you think Novak's chances are so low? Nadal has yet to prove he can take a single set from Novak on clay this year.

The draw is out and the victims have been set. This is a great draw for Rafael Nadal, he may get the chance to pummel Lukas Rosol in Round 3.

If Novak Djokovic makes it to the semi-final (Grigor Dimitrov awaits in round 3) then Nadal can record his 20th win over Nokak Djokovic.

In the unlikely event Roger Federer makes the final, Rafael Nadal can extend his domination of the head to head to:

21-10 in total matches
15-6 in finals
9-2 in Grand Slams
7-2 in Grand Slam finals
6-0 in the French Open including an incredible 5th final victory

:twisted::p

Yeah that would be pretty amazing if Federer makes another FO final at his age. Plus the fact that he would have 6 FO finals that just extends his GOATness. Can you imagine Nadal making 6 USO or 6AO finals? Yeah, I can't imagine it either since he only has 2 finals at each of those slams.

Probably watched last years final. If anyone thinks it is 50/50 they are living in dreamland. :p

Do you think Nadal has what it takes to take a set from Novak on clay this year? So far he couldn't do it on real clay on his best tournament. I think Nadal's only hope this year is Novak loses to someone else.

There is a chance Rafael Nadal will not take a set from Novak Djokovic, if Novak Djokovic loses to Grigor Dimitrov again, otherwise Rafael Nadal will win in straight sets.

The first week of June is Nadal time.

Totally agree. Djoker was smart avoiding ****** in Rome. Now ****** has that question at the back of his mind gnawing away at the grey matter.

What? This isn't a cupcake draw?

Simone Bolelli
Denis Istomin
Eduardo Schwank
Juan Monaco
Nicolas Almagro
David Ferrer
Novak Djokovic

It's about time he has to work for it.
Thankfully he doesn't have to play against Philipoussis or Baghdatis. Those two would have really made him work for it. :)

Did you miss the 8 times RNadal mentally castrated RFederer in slams?

Or the 6 times RNadal stomped on NDjokovic in slams?

Or the 6 times RNadal annihilated AMurray in slams?

I hope it really gets to you when RNadal wins that 12th slam. Reality will start to hit- you'll wake up and realise that RNadal really is going to become the greatest of all time. No amount of boasting about irrelevant RFederer records will change RNadal's slam count. RFederer will become a mere remnant of history, an old codger like Ken Rosewall or even William Renshaw that people barely remember. Because RNadal will hold THE most important records. It'll hurt you so much, that you'll stop watching tennis altogether. You'll wish you'd never started watching tennis. RNadal has RFederer by the balls mentally- and you, too. And now he's starting to squeeze.

The reason nobody remembers Renshaw is that the people that can remember him usually forget to take their memory pills.

As for RFederer's irreversible descent into senile irrelevance, does that mean he will start sitting on a park bench, throwing crumbs at ducks in the pond, and watching pictures of Gloria Swanson and Vivian Leigh in indecent bathing suits exposing their calfs?

Both of those players had career highs of 8. Why must you insult them with your unfunny remark? and BTW Fed played Philipoussis a grand total of once at a major and MP beat the world #1 to get there. Nice analogy.

I love the way rafaturds like to deflect attention away from their man. So predictable. I've never seen so much bitterness regarding a draw. Clearly you folks are very worried about that SF match that's looming.

Yes, Nole and Gulbis could beat him. Heck, anyone could beat him. He'll be the favorite in every match he plays, but Nole and Gulbis will be dangerous opponents. I would give Nole a 35% chance of beating Rafa and Gulbis and 20% chances of beating Rafa. The rest of the field in any given match has a 10% chance of beating him. lol.

Agree with this.

Against Nole, Rafa is the favorite. But Nole has a reasonable chance.
Against Gulbis, Rafa is the strong favorite. But Gulbis has a small chance.
Against anyone else, Rafa is the overwhelming favorite, and they have just a slim-to-none chance.

Nadal is obviously the favorite to win the whole thing, but it's ridiculous to think that nobody has any chance of beating him.

OK, lets see.

He's got Novak Djokovic who won't be feeling the pressure of holding all four slams in a row mentally pulling him down. Who also created anti strikes to all of Nadal's play, as shown in Monte Carlo.

He's got some bad weather there, not sure how long that will last. But if it stays damp, and he gets Djokovic, it could get real ugly. When it was damp in the final last year, eight straight games lost. When it was damp in MC this year, one point from having extra carbs.

Finally, if the balls play fast, like 2011, he could be in trouble.

Apart from that, he should be fine. :)

Career high of 8? You mean like Verdasco had a career high of 7 and Simon had a career high of 6? Impressive... the way Fedephants like to interpret data to suit their purposes. :)

What's to be bitter about? Rafa has to get through Djokovic one way or the other. Better to do it in the SF than the final.

I HOPE RNadal draws LRosol at Roland Garros. I want to see LRosol get the biggest humiliation of his life. And it'll be on live TV, too. LRosol will be wishing for retirement.

By the way, we aren't on typewriter technology. You don't have to double-space after each period. :p

I like more and more of these Rafa fans for their use of words. For instance, TDK for saying, "Fed EVADES Rafa, and that's how he got his 17 GS titles", and now, 6-3 6-1 6-0 for saying, "Rafa CASTRATES Fed" Very colorful, isn't it? Very poetic, don't you agree?
So the beating that Fed dishes out on Rafa just last year at Indian Wells, the thumping at WTF before, and the heartbreaking serve to end Djoker's match in SF at FO 2011, and the triple-bagel to the same Djoker, all done by a 'jailbreaker, castrated, walking cane-using 31 year old dude, how does that qualify to them?
Yup, yup, that's right. Not worth mentioning it because your beloved gods just thumped, or castrated, or blown to smittens, or whatever else you can come up with it, right? Let's just sweep everything under the rug, and keep clamoring for the REAL GOAT, shouldn't we?:)

what do Verdasco and Simon have to do with anything? ****** didn't face them last year, just a bunch of nobodies and his pets the 3 Amigos Monaco, Almagro and Ferrer

The simple answer is No. Nadal is the king of Paris and clay in general. I wouldn't be surprised if he won every set he plays.

I guess you slept through 2009.

I like you're enthusiasm but if you don't find the truth in my first statement then I'm afraid you're out of touch with reality. I'd love to say that Andy had a chance (he's not playing of course) or that Roger or Nole or anyone was on the same playing field with Rafa. That is simply not truth. Nadal is a clear favorite and has proven it many many times. Sure he has been off and has been beaten in the past and that is always a possiblity (as it is with any player in any tournament) but would you really place money on anyone against him? Be honest and i think you'll come to the same conclusion I did... Rafa is winning this tournament: Betting sites have it nearly 50/50 that he won't loose a set.

Nadal has faced Federer 30 times so far. Hasn't he (Federer) had enough? Just pointing the 4th pet. Federer is Nadal's "best friend" in slam finals. :)

Since he's barely better than 50-50 to win the entire TOURNAMENT, I'd be VERY interested to know what "betting sites" those are...
