Oh dear... This thread makes me feel like going to an AAA meeting for the first time 
...well, I have liked the Federer Nike shirts for a long time and have once in while bought some, when they were on sail. Also the occasional shorts... But I also wear other tennis gear, I.e. I like some of Djokovic's Uniqlo gear, my tennis shoes are asics since many years and I started to appreciate TW house socks a while back.
Racket wise I have been been searching for the right racket, after my highly appreciated Prince Mono's started to break down on me...I went through a couple of different racket types until I settled for the Prince Ozone O3 MP... Or so I thought until a friend of mine showed up with a couple of test rackets, including one BLX tour 90... For the fun of it I wanted to try Federer's stick... Love at first hit... I had to put the racket away after 5 minutes, because I just liked the precision it gave my shots too much (and also because the string job was too hard on my arm... (I am a softy, trusting for many years in the same string and pretty low tension, with no intention of changing either).
I couldn't get the BLX Tour 90 out of my head anymore and switched to it roughly 9 month later and never looked back (got the black, red, golden Federer bag with them...great bag in my opinion). But in all other directions... I started searching the net... Is it really the same stick Federer plays or not? I started adding other versions of Tour 90 (K90, HPS90, N90) to my collection, to find out if they were different... Meanwhile I am a racket collector (mainly Wilson Pro Staff kind of rackets like the PS85, 95, KPS88, other classics, some woodies...) and have some rackets hanging on my walls (wife not always happy ;-))
I guess I am not really a Federer copy cat, but I like some of his stuff. I have always played a 1HBH, with the exception of a few years as a kid and have not really changed my tennis with the Federer style in mind. But one positive effect the switch to the 90 had was that I saw Federer to things on TV, that I had never thought I could do...but with his racket I dared to try such things (I.e. Back hand half volleys on the base line instead of stepping backwards) and some things actually work for me and I think it helped me to improve my tennis in some areas. For sure more of a mental trick than really the racket switch, but I don't care... I got better in some areas and that is cool.

I dont have his racquets because its just way too heavy for me and headsize is a bit small. Im happy with my 95 sq inch frame. I do have 2 of his model shoes. The Wimbledon vapor 9 2012(bought it cause it has the only RF logo at that time) and the vapor 9 AO 2013 ( I like the color, i find it unique). I got a coupe of shirts too. AO 2013, Wimbledon 2012 (course i bought i to match the shoes. hehe), Basel 2011, shanghai 2012.

I was curious how my Wilson nSix-One Tour 90 would play using Federer's specs (as far as we know) which I think is 364 grams, 32.2 cm balance and an estimated 355 swingweight. I made the racquet 364 grams and 32.2 cm without consideration for the swingweight and it measure out on my PTC at 355 exactly.
The racquet plays incredible. It's so solid and hits through the ball easily. It reminds me of my ProStaff Classics I oplayed during my "prime" after I put leather and an overgrip on them. As long as you prepare early the racquet is a tool of the devil and you will not be overpowered. My OHBH was especially well suited for the set-up. All that said I've only used it in half hour sessions and gone back to my Volkls which are 360 grams but only a 335 swingweight so I'm not sure if I could handle those specs for a 2-3 hour match. I've had a few friends try the racquet and they hit a heaver ball for sure but they too feel like they couldn't handle it for a full match (we're all mid 30's to early 40's). Rest assured I've never confused myself with Federer but it was a fun experiment and just for the hell of it I may build my volkls up to the same.

Geoff actually plays a frame spec'd exactly as Fed's, which I BELIEVE (not 100% certain on this, so maybe he will chime in) has a SW of 335. Best, BHBH

This is great! How did you get it to weigh 364? (did you start with an asian model?)

I would like to try this - can you tell me where you put how much lead? I hope you started with a standard Tour 90? I do not have an Asian one that I can use as a start. Also, I have started replacing the Wilson leather with Fairways and have a Wilson Pro Overgrip on them.

Let us know how it plays. I read a review that mentioned it was very close to the K90. I guess that would be good news, though I am still not sure if I prefer the K90 or the BLX90...
Anyway, I wont by the 2014 model before it goes on sale in a year or 2...

I'm pretty sure my nSix-One Tour 90 is the standard version. Unstrung with a Babolat Synthetic grip it weighed 327 grams, had a balance point of 31.4 cm and a swingweight of 297. After stringing the racquet I added 7 grams of lead at 12:00 and 9 grams of lead on the handle as near the butt cap as I could. Without an overgrip it the specs were dead on.

IhMuster, fyi, the Asian model typically is leaner, has better skin and accomplishes more in mathematics and the sciences.

Asian lists weight as 320g in throat. not sure how yours is 327 unstrung though (diff between leather grip and synthetic may account, not sure how greaat it is)

Not sure who the question is for. If for me, I have played the 90s in stock form and the Federer set up. My only sensitivity is to grip size, string type and tension. I think I play the same 2.5 level no matter the set up. BHBH is much more discerning. I set up all of his racquets the same specs, same pallet (AK90), string and tension. His non AK90s have the custom pallet where the mould comes from an actual AK90. This mould has even been put on some non Wilsons that he has purchased and tried recently. This allows him to have the same connection with any racquet.
Sorry BHBH if I have given away some of your secrets!

Now having admitted that, the white shirt he is wearing in R2 right now isn't even close to the one on sale.

I was at the nike factory store looking for a new track jacket and stumbled upon his wimbledon track jacket for $30. Its the only piece of RF "gear" I have. But the track jacket is comfy and real nice looking.
